Disney World has had to make some tough calls as it gets ready to reopen its theme parks.

They’ve decided to cancel Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween parties this year as well as their Eat to the Beat concert series, a free nightly musical performance at Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival.

And while Disney has shared with us Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival will be returning on July 15th when the park reopens (with some modifications including a name change!) they’ve also said we can expect to see a few of our favorite local performers such as Mexico Pavilion’s Mariachi Cobre over in the World Showcase and even JAMMitors rockin’ out at Epcot!

And now, Disney World has just confirmed the Main Street Philharmonic will also be returning to Magic Kingdom! We can already hear them trumpeting our arrival in our minds as we type this!

Disney says these are “just a few” of the groups who will be performing for us, so we’ll be looking forward to providing you with more Disney musicians we can confirm are coming back soon! As we get closer and closer to the reopening of Disney World starting July 11th, Disney is sharing more info about what the reopened parks will look like!

We shared with you what attractions you can expect to be opening with Epcot, as well as the all-new Food and Wine experience that will start July 15thwhen the park reopens! Now we’re back to let you know what shops and entertainment you can expect when Epcot opens its doors!

On the entertainment front, we can expect some all-new cavalcade experiences around World Showcase similar to what has been announced in other parks like Magic Kingdom.

Though the Eat to the Beat concert series will not be happening throughout Food and Wine Festival this year, the American Gardens Theatre will still see some use as it will house “America Gardens Theatre Presents…” and will feature a number of popular acts from around Epcot. Of the acts Disney has shared we can expect to see:

• Mariachi Cobre

We’ve got some fun news today as we’re taking a look at what a reopened Disney World will look like!

Animal Kingdom is reopening with most of its iconic and beloved attractions. It will be nice to ride a banshee through Pandora again, but we’re taking a look at the entertainment and shopping that will be open, too! With modified character experiences and new health measures, let’s see the FULL LIST of reopening entertainment and shopping in Animal Kingdom!

Let’s start by taking a look at entertainment. After all, we gotta know if we’ll be seeing Safari Mickey or hearing those awesome Animal Kingdom drummers.

Reopening Entertainment

As we learned earlier this morning, characters will be cruising the waterways of Animal Kingdom. Those cruises will include the following:

• Donald’s Dino Boat Bash!
• Mickey & Friends Flotilla

Donald’s Dino Boat Bash! sure sounds like a party we’d want to be invited to. While you’re waiting for the next cruise of characters to pass by, you can step into one of these reopening Animal Kingdom shops.

We’re actually pretty excited about those character cruises. We might not be able to give Donald a hug, but seeing him live it up on Discovery River will be pretty fun, too. There’s a lot of BIG news coming out about the theme parks today, so keep an eye on DFB for all of the updates!

Disney World is opening its gates next month — July 11th will see the return of Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom, and July 15th will welcome back Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot.

Disney World’s phased reopening plan has really kicked into high gear!

We finally know which Magic Kingdom attractions will be open starting July 11th (along with Disney’s Animal Kingdom on July 11th as well as Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Epcot on July 15th, too!).

And now we’re back to share with you a few more details regarding what you can expect to see and do at Magic Kingdom once the theme park reopens!

Magic Kingdom Entertainment

Since character greetings, parades, and fireworks shows are being temporarily postponed, Disney has decided to cook up a fresh batch of entertainment! The daytime Festival of Fantasy parade won’t be moseying down Main Street, U.S.A. for the time being, but smaller processionals will be featured randomly throughout the day! Here are some of the new “character cavalcades” guests can look forward to seeing soon:

• Main Street Philharmonic
• Character Cavalcades throughout the day, with Guest-favorite Disney friends appearing along the parade route—which will include:
  • The Royal Princess Processional
  • Mickey & Friends Cavalcade
