Disney World just shared that their new Park Pass Reservation System will open to guests with existing reservations on June 22nd.

Magic Kingdom

The Park Pass System will help manage park attendance for the foreseeable future as the Disney parks reopen with limited capacity caps in place (Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom will reopen on July 11th, and Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios will reopen on July 15th). All guests will need a Park Pass reservation on top of their valid park entry to enter any Disney World theme park.

Let’s take a look at how this new system will work. Check out ALL the details and a TUTORIAL below!

Disney World Theme Park Pass Reservation System Details

The Park Pass System is an online tool to help guests with making their park reservations. Again, ALL GUESTS with a valid ticket for entry will also require an advance Park Pass reservation to enter the park. To enter a park, valid entry and a park reservation are required for the same park on the same date for each person in your group ages three and up.

Keep in mind that you are limited to one park per day with the reservation system at this time. Visiting more than one park per day will be temporarily unavailable during the reopening phase due to attendance limitations.

Note also that a separate reservation will be required for each day in a theme park. If you have a multi-day ticket, you will need a reservation for each day of your ticket.

Reservations are subject to availability and are NOT guaranteed until a reservation is finalized. Disney recommends that you make your theme park reservations as soon as you purchase your tickets, as availability is subject to change until your reservation is finalized.

  • Disney Resort and other select hotel Guests with valid theme park admission can make reservations beginning June 22nd.

Note that if you booked a vacation package, your eligibility is tied to your travel dates. To make a reservation for a different date, modify the dates on your vacation package.

At this time, reservations will be available through September 26th, 2021 based on your room reservation and ticket eligibility. If you have a room-only reservation, call the Disney Reservation Center at (407) 939-1936 or your travel agent beginning June 24th to upgrade your package to one with tickets. You will then be able to make theme park reservations.

Those Booking a New Vacation

New hotel reservations and ticket sales are currently on hold, but new vacation bookings will open up again soon. On June 28th, all guests will be able to purchase new Disney Resort hotel packages and theme park tickets and make their park reservations for arrivals beginning in 2021. Guests will be able to see theme park reservation availability BEFORE making ticket purchases.

For 2020 arrivals, new reservations and ticket sales will resume later this summer based on the availability of park reservations.

Tutorial

Now, we’ll walk you through the four-step Park Pass reservation process.

Step 1: Link your admission to your Disney account.

You’ll need to make sure that your existing park admission is linked to your Disney account. If you do not have a Disney account you will need to make one at DisneyWorld.com. Use your account dashboard and confirmation numbers to link your park admission and Disney Resort hotel reservation to your Disney account. Make sure that each person in your party has their valid admission linked.

Your tickets and hotel stays must be linked so that the Park Pass system recognizes your ticket eligibility.

Step 2: Create your party.

Similar to the process when you make a Fastpass+ or Advance Dining Reservations, you will need to specify your travel party. When you begin to make your reservation, you’ll be prompted to create a party from your Family & Friends list. If anyone is not listed on your Family & Friends list, you can “Add a Guest” to include them on the reservation.

Be sure to make profiles for kids in your group ages three and up as well. Parents can manage their children’s profiles and who is connected to them via the My Disney Experience app or website.

Your reservation party must consist of valid admission holders. Depending on your admission type, you may need to make more than one Park Pass reservation for your party. If you are staying in a Disney Resort or other select hotel with a ticket package, you’ll need to make sure that everyone has a hotel reservation. If not, you will need to make different Park Pass reservations.

Step 3: Select a date and park.

After your party is selected, you will then be prompted to specify the reservation date you’d like to visit based on availability. You’ll be able to choose a date via a calendar, choose a theme park, and choose a time for your visit.

Step 4: Review and confirm your plans.

Before finalizing your reservation, make sure that you carefully review your selected park and dates. From the confirmation page, you can select “Back” if you need to make any changes.

To confirm, you will need to agree to the Terms & Conditions, including the COVID-19 liability waiver. Then, select “Confirm” to complete your park reservation. Once confirmed, your reservations will be listed in “My Plans” on your Disney account.

From there, you can select “Make Another Reservation” to continue planning. If you need to cancel a reservation, you can view it in “My Plans” and select “Reservation Details.” Other than that, you’re finished! You’ve made a reservation for entry into the Disney theme parks.

Per Disney, “At this time, Guests will be able to select one park per day; visiting more than one park per day will be temporarily unavailable upon the reopening of the theme parks due to attendance limitations.”

They also announced that the Epcot Food and Wine Festival would kick off on July 15th this year. And just this morning, Disney shared a full list of tours and special events that will not take place during the initial phase of reopening.
