Explore a Whole New World of Dining Options Now Available in the My Disney Experience App

Whether you’re grabbing a quick meal on the go or sitting down to celebrate with family and friends, there’s nothing like dining at Walt Disney World Resort. We’re excited to share that even more magic, including expanded mobile order service options and the ability to check-in for reservations on your personal device, are now available in the My Disney Experience app. This is all to help you make the most of your day while keeping health and safety top of mind.

Here’s some more information on what you can expect:

  • Mobile Order Service is expanding to select table-service restaurants – We’re now offering even more ways to use our mobile order service, recently expanding it to include to go orders from Sanaa at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani Village. Allowing Disney Resort hotel guests to place a to go order from a selection of items on the table-service menu inside the restaurant and pick up their food to enjoy at their resort hotel, the service will soon grow to include other select Disney Resort hotel table-service restaurants. Be sure to stay tuned and check the app for the most up-to-date list of participating locations.
  • Mobile dining check-in and walk-up list service – Launched this summer, guests can now check-in for dining, view current availability and wait times, and add themselves to a waitlist at participating table-service restaurants through the My Disney Experience app. Check out additional information here and start planning your next culinary adventure today.

These latest enhancements are designed to help you maximize vacation time and minimize contact between cast members and guests – all while feeding your inner foodie. Calling all fans of “The Mandalorian”! You now have a new reason to look forward to Mondays this fall! Today, we announced Mando Mondays, debuting a bounty of products, books, comics and digital content inspired by the hit Lucasfilm series on Disney+!

After premiering last fall and quickly taking the world by storm, “The Mandalorian” – which took home seven awards during last week’s Primetime Emmy Awards – will return for its highly anticipated second season on Fri., Oct. 30, streaming only on Disney+. D23’s First-Ever Virtual Halloween Mousequerade Costume Contest

This year, D23: The Official Disney Fan Club is making Halloween even more spook-tacular with its first ever virtual D23 Halloween Mousequerade event! On October 31 at 5 p.m ET / 2 p.m. PT, join celebrity judges including Ashley Eckstein (Star Wars: The Clone Wars) and Yvette Nicole Brown (Lady and the Tramp, The Big Fib) to watch some of the most magical, heroic, fantastical, and out-of-this-world designs strut down the streaming runway. 

And you can be part of the show! D23 is inviting fans to design their own Disney-inspired costumes for a chance to win a $500 Disney Gift Card!* Interested in showing off your own crafty creation? D23 Members can enter now to be considered for the big show! (And if you aren’t a member, you can join for free!)

And the Category is… “All Things Disney”! Costumes (made by contestants from original household materials) should be inspired by the fantastic worlds of Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars, from movies and TV to Disney Parks attractions and other Disney properties.

#DisneyCastLife: Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month, New Halloween Magic at Walt Disney World Resort and Hong Kong Disneyland’s 15th Birthday

This weekend, we’re sharing a new episode of our #DisneyCastLife series featuring favorite stories of cast members making Disney magic around the world.  

During this episode, Disneyland Ambassador Rafa continues our celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month and introduces us to a special cast member at the Resort.  We also take you behind-the-scenes at Walt Disney World Resort for a peek at how cast bring Halloween to life before sharing well wishes from around the world for Hong Kong Disneyland’s 15th birthday.

Disneyland Paris Celebrates its Heritage Days

For the third year in a row, Disneyland Paris celebrated its heritage and showcased the creativity and artistry that goes on behind-the-scenes as part of its Heritage Days. This year, the opportunity was virtual and accessible to all fans!

Through exclusive videos, guests discovered the secrets of the costumes worn by famous Audio-Animatronics® figures and the artistic influences of Disneyland Paris through a short guided video tour of Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park, including Sleeping Beauty’s Castle, Discoveryland and Place de Remy. The tour provides an unprecedented spotlight on the technical know-how inherent to the resort. These videos are now available on the Disneyland Paris at Home website.

Additionally, via Disneyland Paris’ Instagram, guests discovered an exhibition dedicated to past and present shows at Disneyland Paris, with many costumes and models presented by one of our Show Directors. During this session, Instagram followers had the opportunity to ask questions, which were answered live!

And for even more free family fun from Disneyland Paris, “Disneyland Paris at Home” offers families and fans entertaining games, activities, tutorial videos, step-by-step themed recipes, videos revealing some of Disneyland Paris’ secrets and many other surprises to spark imagination, inspire creativity and share the magic – all from the comfort of home anywhere in the world.

“Disneyland Paris at Home” is available in French, English, Italian, Spanish, German and Dutch and new content continues to be regularly added!
