Tokyo Disneyland Expansion Areas to Open on September 28

Today, Tokyo Disneyland announced that new attractions, restaurants, and shops will open on September 28 marking the largest expansion of the Park’s history. This large-scale development will stretch across Fantasyland, Tomorrowland and Toontown – three of the seven themed lands in the Park – transforming into new magical experiences for guests three years after breaking ground.

The additions to Fantasyland will bring Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Beauty and the Beast” film to life through the Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast attraction, shops and dining locations. In Tomorrowland, guests will experience the brand new The Happy Ride with Baymax attraction inspired by Disney Animation’s Oscar-winning film, “Big Hero 6and find new delectable delights at The Big Pop, a specialized popcorn shop. Finally, Toontown will offer a new Disney Character greeting experience called Minnie’s Style Studio.  

They look forward to welcoming guests to this latest area of the Park inviting them to visit to make new and lasting magical memories!

Meet the Residents of Disney’s Animal Kingdom in New ‘Disney Parks Wild Sights’ Video Series

Want to learn how gorillas form groups and interact? What about how African bull elephants learn from each other? Or maybe you just love animals like we do and want to take a deeper dive into the magic of nature. Well, you’re in luck! We’re excited to share that starting today an all-new, short-form video mini-series “Disney Parks Wild Sights” will debut exclusively in the My Disney Experience app, showcasing the amazing animals that call Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park home. 

Featuring a variety of animals and the dedicated cast members who care for them, “Disney Parks Wild Sights” will take you on a journey to discover more about the diverse wildlife of Disney’s Animal Kingdom. In each episode, you’ll meet a different animal, learn about what makes them unique and hear about the incredible bonds they form with their animal keepers. We can’t wait to introduce you to them!

We’re always looking to find new and creative ways to share the magic with our guests. Whether it’s using technology like the My Disney Experience or Disneyland mobile apps to make visiting the parks even more fun and memorable or adding unique experiences and educational series like “Disney Parks Wild Sights,” to be enjoyed at home, our guests and fans can now check out so many fun features from wherever they may be.

From learning about the era-specific influences that shaped the world of Disney Parks to exploring Disney history or even virtually visiting destinations around the world, there’s so much to explore with just the tap of your fingers! And “Disney Parks Wild Sights” is just one of the new series that have recently debuted in the My Disney Experience or Disneyland apps.

In “Destination Disney,” travel to Disney parks and resorts around the world and discover what makes each of them both magically familiar and culturally distinct. Tune in to “Designing Disney Parks” to learn little-known stories about Disney Parks design history and inspiration or “Disney Parks Throwback” to take a trip back in time through Disney Parks history! Check out “Celebrate with Disney Parks” to enjoy highlights from holidays and other dates with stories inspired by our parks, cast members and our guests, and “Disney Date Night” to get some magical inspiration for your next date night or family hang out – with a Disney Parks twist!

To check out “Disney Parks Wild Sights” in the My Disney Experience app, and the other amazing series available in both the My Disney Experience and Disneyland apps, be sure to download these apps from the App Store or Google Play. From an app’s home screen, simply scroll down to check out featured series, and tap “see all” to explore them all. You can also receive weekly alerts for all-new videos by enabling push notifications on your device.

Learn more about gorillas, elephants, zebras and more when “Disney Parks Wild Sights debuts today and don’t forget to check out the original docuseries from National Geographic, “Magic of Disney’s Animal Kingdom,” on Disney+, starting September 25, for an even closer look at the work and Imagineering that goes into caring for the animals at Walt Disney World Resort.

#DisneyMagicMoments: Discover Treasure and Treasured Secrets Aboard Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland Resort

Ahoy, land lubbers! Board yer own pirate ship and set sail for a raucous adventure on Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland park. This attraction takes you through the Golden Age of Piracy where you’ll encounter Captain Barbosa as he searches for Captain Jack Sparrow. In this new Ride & Learn video, keep yer eyes peeled for fun facts that may reveal the schemes of these dreaded band of scoundrels.

Since its debut in 1967, Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland park has transported millions of guests on a swashbuckling adventure. The immersive experience debuted as a technological marvel and storytelling masterpiece and has even inspired a global phenomenon, launching the highly popular film franchise.

#DisneyCreators: ‘Stories from the Parks’ – Halloween at Magic Kingdom Park

Today, we’re continuing our “Stories in the Parks” series with new #DisneyCreators experiences from guests and friends enjoying the spooktacular Halloween decor in Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World Resort. 

As we’ve shared, Main Street, U.S.A. is now dressed in fall décor with bewitching offerings like our Halloween-themed character cavalcade with Mickey, Minnie and pals.  Several of our vacationing friends who #loveorlando visited the park to experience Halloween – and they had much to share.
