Two More Restaurants are Confirmed to Open in EPCOT’s Italy Pavilion Next Week

Walt Disney World’s EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios is gearing up to reopen next week on July 15th.

Two More Restaurants are Confirmed to Open in EPCOT’s Italy Pavilion Next Week

Italy Pavilion in Epcot

EPCOT’s Italy Pavilion will reopen along with the rest of the World Showcase. While most pavilions are opening, not all restaurants and food kiosks will be available to guests. We’ve just confirmed two more Italian dining experiences to add to our list of available restaurants at EPCOT. Plus, the hours that all three Italian restaurants will be open for guests!

We’ve already confirmed Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria will be open and ready for pizza lovers once EPCOT is open! Now, we got the hours that you can stop by for a fresh-baked pie and Sangria. Via Napoli will welcome guests from Noon to 8:00PM.

And it’s now been confirmed that Tutto Italia Ristorante, the Italian table service restaurant, will open up too! It’s one of our favorite places to carb-up on handmade pasta. Tutto will be open for lunch and dinner from 2:00PM to 8:00PM.

Last, but certainly not least, Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar will be serving up Pinot Noir once again. Stop into the dark and cool wine bar for a glass of red and a blast of A/C. Tutto will also be open from 2:00PM to 8:00PM.

There’s a NEW FuelRod Policy That You NEED to Know About for Your Next Disney Vacation

Have you been following along with the story of the FuelRod chargers? We’ve got some interesting updates to the saga!

There’s a NEW FuelRod Policy That You NEED to Know About for Your Next Disney Vacation

FuelRod Station

Once upon a time, there was a portable charger called FuelRod that charged guests a one-time fee of $30 and promised guests Free Unlimited Swapping when visiting locations like Walt Disney World or Disneyland. FuelRod decided to change the policy and implement a $3 charge every time a guest decided to swap out their charger.

This caused a user to file a Class Action Lawsuit claiming that FuelRod used false advertising given the promise that users could always swap their chargers for free. Disney FuelRod locations temporarily lifted the charge, but now they’re BACK with an entirely different FuelRod policy!

With the new policy, Users who purchased a FuelRod prior to October 26th, 2019 are granted a Founders Status. The status implies that users can continue to exchange their chargers for free! That also means that customers who bought a charger after October 26th are still required to pay the $3 exchange fee.

There’s a NEW FuelRod Policy That You NEED to Know About for Your Next Disney Vacation

Swapping Fee Sticker

Ok, now FuelRod decided on a new policy. But, how do customers with a Founders Status go about swapping for free? Here we go! First, the Founders will complete this questionnaire here. Once you are verified, you must download the FuelRod app and create an account using the SAME email address you used in the questionnaire.

When you need to make a swap, hop along to a FuelRod station, and fire up the app. FuelRod will give you a scannable QR code that you will use to confirm your Founder Status and will pop out a new FuelRod.

Epcot Food and Wine Festival

And now, Disney has added a new Taste of Epcot digital guide feature to the My Disney Experience app!

With Taste of Epcot starting in just a few days (it opens the same day of EPCOT’s grand reopening on July 15th and will run all the way through the FALL!), we were up all night studying the menus of the 20 returning marketplace festival booths! And now, Disney World has made our research and planning even easier by launching this new Food and Wine digital feature!

Under normal circumstances, EPCOT offers guests a printed booklet of their Food and Wine festival food, entertainment, and shopping location information. While we don’t know if this new digital Food and Wine guide will be replacing physical copies of the guides or not, we’ll be sure to let you know if paper copies are still available once the big day arrives!

Here’s How Disney World Is Handling Pin Trading in the Parks

Disney World has implemented lots of new precautions to keep guests and Cast Members safe now that the parks are reopening. One of the biggest changes has to do with physical distancing. All parties are asked to maintain six feet of space between themselves and other guests at all times.

Here’s How Disney World Is Handling Pin Trading in the Parks

Characters Greeting

If you’re a pin collector, you might think this new safety regulation would make pin trading a thing of the past at Disney World. But we’re here to tell ya — that’s not the case! In fact, we’ve seen pin trading happening at a few places INSIDE the theme parks recently between guests and Cast Members!

Before the closures, pin trading typically involved Cast Members wearing lanyards or pouches covered in pins that were available for trade. Some retail locations, front desks of resorts, and Guest Relations locations also had pinboards or books for guests to look through. Guests would pick out which pin they wanted, and then trade one of their pins in exchange.

Pin Trading Board

We stopped by Guest Relations at Magic Kingdom to ask if there was any new info regarding pin trading. Previously, we’d heard from Cast Members when Pin Traders reopened in Disney Springs that there would most likely be some form of pin trading taking place, but that it would be modified from previous experiences.

Here’s How Disney World Is Handling Pin Trading in the Parks

Guest Relations

The Guest Relations Cast Members informed us they didn’t have any pins for trading just yet, but they did have plenty of free celebration buttons to choose from.

First Visit Celebration Buttons

But, as we were exploring some of the gift shops at Magic Kingdom, we spotted a real live pinboard at Fantasy Faire’s cash register! Guests can still pick out which pin they’d like to trade, and the Cast Member will remove it from the board and give it to you! You’ll drop the pin you’re trading into a container and they’ll clean it before placing it on the board.

Today at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, our friend Instagram user @MichaelDoesDisney spotted a new sign clearly detailing step by step the pin-trading experience we had yesterday at Fantasy Faire.

And yesterday, one of our team members who was in Disney’s Animal Kingdom spotted a whole pin trading experience next to Primeval Whirl in Dino Land, U.S.A.!

This was the largest board we’ve since the closures and the Cast Members asked us to help spread the word!

We also swung by Animal Kingdom’s Pin Station to see if they had begun pin trading yet. For now, the Cast Member told us they’re still working on a plan so we’ll continue to monitor them and let you know when it returns!

In fact, we’ll keep updating this post and let you know about any additional pin trading locations we can find, but for now, you can get the scoop on Disney World’s 2020 pin trading event which will be happening online!

Find out which newly-reopened Disney World resort hotel has pin trading here!
