Everything You Need to Know About Relaxation Stations at Hollywood Studios

Each major theme park in Orlando has Relaxation Stations. These are designated areas at which masks can be removed as you sit and relax for a bit. At Disney’s Hollywood Studios there are two Relaxation Stations. They provide a restful area whether you want to enjoy your snack or drink, or just have a place to sit down for a few minutes. Here’s everything you need to know about the Relaxation Stations at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Location of Relaxation Stations at Hollywood Studios

The Relaxation Stations at Hollywood Studios are both Star Wars based. The first is located at Star Wars Launch Bay, which is in the right hand side of the park, not too far from Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway. This station is mostly indoors, which may not make every guest comfortable with taking their mask off (myself included). It is a cool, themed area and some guests may appreciate the air conditioning. There is a covered portion just before entering the building.

The second location is inside Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge, and quite frankly if you’re not familiar with this part of the park, this station is very difficult to find. It is located near the marketplace. If you’re facing into the marketplace, having entered the land from the main entrance off Grand Avenue, the station is on the left, in front of the big gate.

How to Use Relaxation Stations at Hollywood Studios

No reservations are needed for the Relaxation Stations, but they can reach capacity. Lunch time is the most popular time for using the stations. The tables are placed six feet or more apart, and should not be moved. If you have a larger group it is asked that you keep your party at the designated tables and not combine them.

It is asked that all guests keep their masks on until they are at their table. Once you are at the table, you can remove your mask whether you have food and drink, or if you just want to relax. There is no time limit on using the stations. If you need to get up from your table, or whenever you are done, it is asked that you put your mask back on before moving around.

Cast Members frequently clean and sanitize the tables, chairs, and the general area. The Relaxation Stations can have limited hours. They do not always open right when the park opens, and generally close a little earlier than the park itself does.

Have you made use of the Relaxation Stations yet? Do you think they are helpful?

You can purchase a map, collecting stamps as you find the trees, and earn a special ornament at the end. The cost to join the hunt and earn the ornament is $9.95. The trees are pretty easy to find and worth visiting to see all the wonderful detail and themes, even if you do not purchase a map to receive an ornament.

Unique Star Wars Merchandise Finds at Galaxy’s Edge

If you’re heading to Disney’s Hollywood Studios anytime soon, consider doing some holiday shopping at Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge. You’ll find some unique merchandise here that any Star Wars fan will love. What makes this merchandise special is it is made to appear as though it is from the Star Wars universe itself.

Many items are made of wood or fabric that resembles handmade items. We spotted some new Boba Fett merchandise as this popular character has made a resurgence recently. A stroll through the marketplace is great, even if just to window shop so to speak. It can get a little crowded in this area as it is meant to feel like a real bustling marketplace.

And inside Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities you’ll find merchandise that does have the appearance as coming from the Star Wars universe itself, but more along the lines of collectibles and unique finds rather than handmade goods.

Have you ever shopped inside Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge? What’s the coolest thing you’ve found?

The Best Ways to Celebrate the Holidays at Disney Springs

Practically everywhere you turn at Disney Springs you will find holiday cheer. If your goal is to have the most festive fun, you’re in luck. Here are the best ways to celebrate the holidays at Disney Springs.

  1. Avoid weekends
  2. Sip on the best holiday drinks
  3. Have a festive meal
  4. Shop at some of the non-Disney shops
  5. Check out Santa on the lake
  6. Enjoy the Christmas Tree Stroll
  7. Cap off your visit with something sweet

Avoid weekends

The weekends are the busiest time to visit Disney Springs no matter the time of year. But, during the holiday season the weekends are even busier. Disney Springs has reached capacity during multiple weekends this holiday season (mostly on Saturdays). Do everything you can to visit on a weekday.

Sip on the best holiday drinks

Whether you want a cocktail or to perk up your visit with a specialty coffee, there are some great seasonal drinks to enjoy throughout Disney Springs. Here’s some of our picks for the best holiday drinks at Disney Springs.

Have a festive meal

There’s so many great places to eat around Disney Springs. It can be hard to decide where to go to have the best meal. We have ratings for all Walt Disney World restaurants on our site, and you can filter by location, including Disney Springs. Currently, Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’, Wine Bar George, and The Polite Pig make the top 3 highest-rated dining locations at Disney Springs.

We’ve enjoyed some festive meals at Disney Springs. One of the best quick service meals we’ve enjoyed this holiday season is the Turkey Holiday Burger and Eggnog Shake at D-Luxe Burger. For a sit-down bite full of festive flair then head to Jock Lindsay’s Hangar Bar; see our review of their special holiday menu.

Shop at some of the non-Disney shops

When you head to Disney Springs you expect to find some great Disney merchandise. But, there are actually lots and lots of non-Disney shops there too. Check out the three non-Disney stores we recommend, especially if you’re looking to save a little money.

Check out Santa on the lake

Normally Santa Claus greets guests in a marvelous looking chalet at Disney Springs. But this year things are different, of course. Santa and Mrs. Claus have taken to the waterway. You can seem them out on the lake at Disney Springs waving from their decorated pontoon boat. How very Florida!

Enjoy the Christmas Tree Stroll

This year the traditional Christmas Tree Trail is no longer a condensed corral of decorated Christmas trees. This year it is a “Stroll” in which the decorated trees are spread out throughout a portion of Disney Springs, to allow for social distancing. Read more about the Disney Springs Christmas Tree Stroll.

Cap off your visit with something sweet

There are lots of sweets to be found throughout Disney Springs. Our favorite spot for seasonal sweets is Amorette’s Patisserie. You can check out our review of some of Amorette’s holiday treats, but just know that the Chocolate Peppermint Creme Brulee is the highlight of the menu.
