Walt Disney World’s Animal Kingdom is officially open to the public and we’re back with more new updates!

What’s New at Disney’s Animal Kingdom: Pumpkin Spice Coffee, New Mugs, and Updated Menus!

Tree of Life

There have been some changes to the way attractions and park entry is handled. Other than, that Animal Kingdom is just as WILD as we left it in March. We found a few new souvenirs while perusing the shops and discovered some interesting dining updates!

Animal Kingdom Food Update

Joffrey’s Coffee

Some of us are dependent on the Joffrey’s Coffee spot located outside the entrance in Animal Kingdom. It’s where we grab an iced latte before sprinting to Flight of Passage. The stand was open during Cast Member previews but was closed when we visited on opening day. So we will keep you updated on this Joffrey’s location!

Joffrey’s Bakery Case

The good news is you can still get your cup of morning magic once you’re inside the park. Earlier, we dropped the news that the infamous Pumpkin Spice Crème Brûlée Cold Brew is back at some Joffrey’s Coffee stands! Fall came early to Animal Kingdom too! You can get your pumpkin spice fix at Royal Anandapur Tea Company!

The sweet and spicy Korean BBQ Rib Tips and turkey legs were first introduced as specials on the Yak and Yeti Counter Service menu. They were later added to the permanent menu. They are still available but listed as specials once again. We’ll keep stopping by to see if they disappear from the specials or are here to stay.

Disney Mug Collectors are gonna love this one! We found a slew of brand new coffee cups featuring the Fab 5. The cute and cartoony cups show the adorable faces of Pluto, Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and Donald.

Last, but certainly not least, is this AMAZING Pumbaa hat we discovered. For 24.99, you too can get in touch with your inner warthog and sport this glamourous accessory. We’ve never felt quite so stylish. Here’s hopin’ the Bugs n’ Grubs Cone makes a comeback so we can really fit the part!

Annual Passholders to recieve 30% off merchandise for a limited time

Annual Passholders to recieve 30% off merchandise for a limited time Annual Passholders

There’s good news for Annual Passholders who plan on shopping at Walt Disney World. For a limited time, Passholders can enjoy a discount of 30% on Disney merchandise! This new sales promotion is only available for a limited time. It runs from July 14th to August 14th at Walt Disney World.

We are quite surprised and thrilled with the news of this temporary Passholder discount. The standard merchandise discount is 20% for Annual Passholders. Given the financial effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the additional discount is quite helpful. Cast Members are letting customers know about the new 30% discount today at Disney World. For those who like to budget their Disney expenses, this discount is quite helpful.

The news of this discount was revealed on the eve of the public reopening of Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Many are looking forward to visiting these theme parks over the next few days. We’ll be going ourselves to witness the changes added for guests to experience. In the meantime, this discount is quite beneficial for Passholders visiting over the next month.

What do you think of the new temporary discount? Will you be using it to shop at the Disney theme parks or at Disney Springs anytime soon?

The Best Outdoor Activities and Attractions at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Staying outside as much as possible is important to many Disney fans, myself included, during this time. And while I have mixed emotions about the prospect of returning to Walt Disney World, it helps to think about all the outdoor activities that are in each park. We’ve covered the outdoor activities at Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Now, it’s time to go wild!

It should come as no surprise that Disney’s Animal Kingdom has a whole lot of outdoor activities. It is the one theme park that is truly centered around the natural world, and because of this many of its attractions are outside.

  • Kali River Rapids

Disney Cruise Line News and Specials — Week of July 13, 2020

Sponsored by Storybook Destinations

Ahoy, mateys! I’m Heather, and I’ll be bringing you the up and coming on all things Disney Cruise Line. Welcome back again this week. Let’s see what’s new in the DCL world!

What’s New

Some lucky guests received a survey from DCL in their email last week, and it didn’t take long for the screenshots and speculation to start making the rounds on the internet. This survey was basically a big ol’ game of “what if” – where Disney asked questions like “what if we did XYZ when cruising returns, what you you then do?”. Now the questions are definitely not meant to be taken as gospel on solid restart plans, and definitely not a comprehensive list of everything we may see, but it does seem to give us some insight on ideas that are being thrown around. Take a look at some of the ideas and questions here.  Based on some of these parameters, would you still sail?

The fleet may not be sailing but the love keeps on coming in – Travel and Leisure’s World’s Best Awards named Disney Cruise Line #1 in ocean cruise lines. We certainly still haven’t forgotten how magical DCL is!

Weekly Specials

Here’s this week’s special offers. Most every week of the year, Disney Cruise Line releases special offers for Florida Residents and U.S. Military Personnel.  There are also frequently IGT/OGT/VGT rates available for all guests to book.  These offers are extremely limited in availability, and all come with certain restrictions, but the prices are amazing! You can book these online, on the phone, or with your travel agent. These are the current offers available this week:
