We’re back at Magic Kingdom today for an Annual Passholder preview before the park opens to the general public on Saturday.

Magic Kingdom

And now it’s time to take a visit to our happy place INSIDE our happy place! That’s right — we’re headed to Main Street Bakery, a.k.a. Magic Kingdom’s Starbucks location to see what new treats we can find!

Oh Main Street Bakery, how we’ve MISSED you! From your antique ceiling tiles, brass light fixtures, and your copper accents aplenty  — you truly are our home, sweet home. Not to mention the air in here is always filled with the delicious aroma of freshly ground COFFEE! If that doesn’t wake you up, we don’t know what will!

And what have we here? A new specialty cold brew drink! It’s called the Endless Yum and it features Starbucks’ signature cold brew topped with a cinnamon almondmilk foam! Sounds pretty yummy to us!

Well, we know what we’ll be ordering once we get to the front of the line! Both sides were open at Main Street Bakery today and folks were doing a good job social distancing thanks to the handy markers that have been placed on the ground.

Plexiglass shields have been installed at all the registers and guests are held at the register after they order until a spot over by the pickup window opens up. Guests are encouraged to use contactless forms of payment such as MagicBands, Apple Pay, or the Starbucks app.

The pickup window also has a new plexiglass barrier. A Cast Member will call your name when your drink is ready and you can approach the counter.

When you pick up your drink, be sure to ask for any sugar or milk if you need it since these items are no longer being left out on the counter for guests.

And voila! We’re already outside in the fresh air with our Endless Yum!

And we gotta say — the Endless Yum lives up to its name! The cinnamon adds a nice spiciness to the cold brew which is smooth and bright! The almond milk adds just a little sweetness, but if you prefer a sweeter drink, you might wanna ask for a few pumps of syrup!

Disney’s Magical Express Luggage Delivery Service no longer provided

Complimentary airport transportation via Disney’s Magical Express service for Guests arriving and departing from Orlando International Airport is continuing to operate during this period, with some modifications.

Beginning July 16, 2020, luggage delivery service will not be provided for those arriving to and departing from Orlando International Airport. Guests who choose to use Disney’s Magical Express will be responsible for picking up any of their checked luggage from the airport’s baggage claim area and taking it to the motorcoach so that it can be loaded for transport to their Disney Resort hotel. Please know that Guests’ luggage will travel with them to their Disney Resort hotel.

Disney’s Magical Express Luggage Delivery Service no longer provided

Luggage assistance will be available at the front of Disney Resort hotels, including luggage storage and/or transport to the room. Upon their departure, Guests should ensure their luggage is with them and loaded onto the motorcoach so they can check it in with their airline once they reach the airport. The resort airline check-in service will not be offered at this time.

Guests will be notified of these changes prior to departing their home locations.

So if you are flying to Disney World remember to grab your luggage and take it with you to your Disney Magical Express bus.

NEWS: Important Update to Disney’s Magical Express Checked Luggage Delivery Service to Walt Disney World

Select Walt Disney World hotels began reopening to guests on June 22nd, ahead of the Resort’s theme parks which will officially begin reopening to guests this Saturday, with Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom on July 11th followed by EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios on July 15th.

Guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel still have Disney’s Magical Express available as a complimentary transportation option to and from the Orlando International Airport even during this initial reopening phase. However, a modification has been made to the service that we thought future guests will certainly want to know.

Under typical operations, Disney’s Magical Express offers guests the ability to have their checked luggage delivered directly from the airport to their Resort hotel room. However, according to an update on the Walt Disney World website, starting Thursday, July 16, 2020, “Disney’s Magical Express service will not be providing luggage delivery service for those arriving to and departing from the airport.”

This means that guests who use Disney’s Magical Express service will be responsible for picking up any and all of their own checked luggage from the airport’s baggage claim area. Then guests will carry their bags to their designated motorcoach where the driver will load them onto the bus to their Resort hotel. (Luggage will travel with the guests on the same motorcoach.)

Upon arrival at the Resort, luggage assistance will be available at the entrance, including storage of luggage and/or delivery to the room.

Guests will also retain their own luggage for departure, and it will likewise be loaded onto the motorcoach. Guests will check their luggage with their airline upon arrival at the airport. (Resort airline check-in will not be offered “at this time.”)

Note that, on the Walt Disney World website, this statement precedes the information: “During the initial reopening period, some benefits may be modified or unavailable.” At press time, there is no information regarding how long the luggage delivery service will be suspended, but if anything changes, we will keep you posted. In the meantime, you can catch up on the latest information regarding the reopening of Walt Disney World Resort by visiting any of the links below.

Changes to Disney’s Magical Express During The Initial Reopening

For Guests who are traveling to the Walt Disney World Resort and utilizing Disney’s Magical Express to get them to their Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, there have been some changes that you need to be aware of.

During the initial reopening phase, while the complimentary airport transportation option is still available for Guests arriving and departing from Orlando International Airport, beginning on July 16, Disney’s Magical Express service will not be providing luggage delivery service for those arriving to and departing from the airport. What this means is that Guests will need to make sure they pick up their own luggage first from the baggage claim area and then head to the Disney’s Magical Express section of the airport. In addition, Guests who are departing the resort to head back to the airport will also need to bring their luggage with them on the bus. The resort airline check-in service will not be offered at this time.

Luggage assistance will be available at the front of your Disney Resort hotel, including luggage storage, as well as the ability to assist you by transporting your luggage to the room.

Also, during these times of uncertainty, many airlines are modifying their flight schedules, so you will want to make sure that you contact Disney’s Magical Express to let them know of any changes to your flight information.
