Just in time for the holiday weekend, Sprinkles cupcakes at Disney Springs has two special-edition cupcakes that capture that summer vibe.

First up is the 4th of July Red Velvet, topped with a mound of cream cheese frosting and covered with an explosion of red, white, blue, and gold sprinkles.

How much you like this cupcake will depend on whether or not you like red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting. The cake is just dense enough to old up to the robust frosting. And while I know that Sprinkles is famous for… well, Sprinkles, they’re pretty to look at but not really necessary here.

The other summer option we sampled was the S’more Cupcake.

It may not be as flashy as the other one, but this cupcake makes up for it in flavor. From the graham cracker “crust” and the dark chocolate cake to the toasted marshmallow frosting, this is as close as you can get to a s’mores flavor without the campfire. Miss the “gooey” part of s’mores making? There’s also a bittersweet chocolate ganache to make it extra messy. Be warned, it’s rich–you may want to split this one!

Each cupcake is $5.99 at the Disney Springs location.

In the past week, Disney cast members began returning to work for training. Walt Disney World cast members are preparing for a reopening with a focus on health and safety. Today, we are seeing the Epcot cast members working towards completing their training for accommodating guests when they return to Disney!

The Epcot team of cast members are excited to reopen the park and make the experience magical for those who visit the theme park. It’s been months since we’ve last seen World Showcase in person or rode attractions such as Test Track. Due to the recent pandemic, the Disney company is putting new safety protocols into effect to help ensure the health and safety for guests visiting Disney World. We thank the cast members for their hard work and for helping with the new health protocols.

The reopening of the Disney Parks is just a few days away. Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Animal Kingdom reopen on July 11, 2020. Then Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios reopen on July 15, 2020. We are excited to soon return to the Disney theme parks and seeing our favorite attractions! Let us know in the comments if any of our fans will be visiting Disney World later this summer.

D23 has been celebrating the Year of the Mouse (technically, rat!) with monthly collectible Mickey Mouse plush! Every month, D23 members get early access to these cuties. July’s mouse is set to bring us some summer tiki fun!

Last month, the Rainbow Mickey plush flew off the Amazon “shelves.” Now, we’re anticipating the arrival of a new friend that will make the birds sing words and the flowers croon!

The newest addition to the Mickey Mouse collection is inspired by places like Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room and Disney’s Polynesian Resort. It will be available for D23 members Monday, July 6th, at 9 AM PST on the D23 website.

To represent some Hawaiian flair, Mickey is covered with exotic plants, tiki gods, and ukuleles! He’s made of twill and corduroy with embroidered buttons and eyes. On the bottom of his foot, you’ll see a gold and satin commemorative patch.

All Mickey’s come with a window box featuring special Year of the Mouse packaging and a Certificate of Authenticity. You have to be quick to order because they sell out really fast!

Disney Reduces Price on All Reusable Bags at Disney Springs

While visiting Disney Springs today we noticed that Disney has reduced the price of all reusable shopping bags to $1.00

In an effort to promote an eco-friendly alternative to plastic shopping bags Disney made the transition to reusable bags back in 2019.

All sizes ranging from small to large, are now $1.00 each.

You can find these reusable bags in a variety of styles and designs pretty much anywhere you find Disney Merchandise for sale…

Tomorrow is Independence Day, which means it’s time to salute all things AMERICAN!

Although Walt Disney World theme parks are closed to the public until July 11th (starting with Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom followed by EPCOT and Hollywood Studios on July 15th), select Disney hotels reopened on June 22nd.

If you’ll be spending the holiday weekend in Walt Disney World, we spotted a special patriotic treat just for you! We’ve noticed a Fourth of July Cupcake has shown up at a few of the resorts including Gasparilla Island Grill at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort!

We spotted it on the My Disney Experience app’s mobile order menu where it’s listed under the moniker, Patriotic Cupcake and it costs $5.49! According to the app, it’s a chocolate cupcake filled with marshmallow, topped with red, white and blue buttercream, sprinkles, and fondant stars!

It looks like Contempo Cafe at Disney’s Contemporary Resort might be offering a similar Fourth of July Cupcake as well! Of course, you also gotta check out these Blondie Pops we also spotted on Gasparilla Island Grill’s bill of fare yesterday!
