Paddlefish and Terralina Crafted Italian Will Be Laying Off Workers in Disney Springs

Select third-party restaurants and stores began to reopen in Disney Springs on May 20th.

However, Paddlefish and Terralina Crafted Italian welcomed guests back on Friday, May 29th, a few days after World of Disney and several Disney-owned properties resumed.

But even though more and more businesses have reopened, crowds have remained relatively light at Disney World’s shopping and entertainment district. Now, both Disney Springs restaurants have been forced to make the difficult decision to lay off some of their employees.

Paddlefish and Terralina Crafted Italian are run by the same company, Levy Restaurants, and they’ve submitted a notice to the state of Florida that they’ll be laying off  87 workers at its Paddlefish dining location and an additional 56 staff members at Terralina Crafted Italian, effective August 1st, 2o20.

New Disney Loungefly Canvas Backpacks Have Magical Designs

A few months ago we saw the arrival of Disney Loungefly backpacks that are made of canvas material. It seems like this material would hold up better than the faux leather used in most Loungefly bags, and would be easy to clean too. Two more canvas designs have been recently released, and they are already very popular.

The first is a Mickey Mouse Balloon pattern. The bright blue base offers a nice contrast to the bright-colored Mickey balloon embroidered pattern. Another design pays tribute to The Enchanted Tiki Room. It has a bright green base with colorful tiki room birds patterned throughout, and tan handles at the top. Each one is $75.00 and are available at World of Disney at Disney Springs, as well as shopDisney online, thought the Enchanted Tiki Room pattern sells out often.

Do you have a preference of the faux leather Loungefly backpacks, or the canvas ones?

OH NO! Two of Our FAVORITE Floats Have Just Vanished From the Menus at Disney World!

When we think of a wonderful thought, we often reminisce over our favorite Disney World snacks — especially the cute ones themed after characters!

OH NO! Two of Our FAVORITE Floats Have Just Vanished From the Menus at Disney World!

Peter Pan’s Flight

We’ve noticed several menu changes over the last few weeks as many theme park restaurants are getting ready to reopen, and now we’ve just learned two of our favorite treats AREN’T showing up on menus anymore!

It looks like our beloved Peter Pan Float was just crossed off the menu at Storybook Treats. This refreshing Sprite and Lime-Dole Whip Soft-Serve treat flew into Magic Kingdom way back in 2018 and we’re more than a little bummed to see it go out the window!

OH NO! Two of Our FAVORITE Floats Have Just Vanished From the Menus at Disney World!

Peter Pan Float

But ALAS, it looks like this wonderful snack has gone the way of the Hei Hei Cone — another favorite treat of ours we saw get the ax a while back (although it’s magically re-appeared on a Disney Parks Food MagicBand, so maybe it will be back someday?!)

OH NO! Two of Our FAVORITE Floats Have Just Vanished From the Menus at Disney World!

Peter Pan Float

Keep in mind this could just be website maintenance and the treat COULD possibly still be around once Magic Kingdom reopens its doors! (We’ll be scoping this out when we’re back in!)

Read more about the Peter Pan Float here!

And sadly, the same fate has befallen the I Lava You Float at Sunshine Tree Terrace. Two of our favorite Dole Whip floats taken away in the SAME DAY?! Our achy, breaky HEARTS!

OH NO! Two of Our FAVORITE Floats Have Just Vanished From the Menus at Disney World!

I Lava You Float

If it’s not too painful for you to recall, the I Lava You Float was made with Strawberry Fanta Soda, Orange Dole Whip, strawberry, and red passion fruit syrup which came topped with strawberry popping candy!

OH NO! Two of Our FAVORITE Floats Have Just Vanished From the Menus at Disney World!

I Lava You Float

But it looks like Sunshine Tree Terrace could possibly have just removed Orange Dole Whip from its soft serve machines entirely. Their FOMOsa, which is also made with Orange soft serve, has been taken away too!

OH NO! Two of Our FAVORITE Floats Have Just Vanished From the Menus at Disney World!

NO MO’ FOMOsa!

Again, we won’t know for sure until we’re standing in Adventureland again in a few weeks if this is for REAL REAL gone.

Click here to read more about the I Lava You Float!

So that’s TWO missing floats and a FOMOsa that’s disappeared SO FAR! To see all the latest menu changes at Disney World, click here, and we’ll let you know if any more of our favorite snacks vanish without a trace!

A fan-favorite character meal will be returning to the theme parks! Click here to find out WHO, WHAT, and WHERE!

Did you get a chance to try the Peter Pan Float or I Lava You Float before they were taken away? Let us know in the comments below!
