We’ve all daydreamed about being best buds with a Disney celebrity (um, how cool would it be to be able to chill out and have a glass of wine with Kristen Bell??).

Even though you might not be able to hang out with them IRL, you can still get a chance to have a celebrity make a video special to you!

Cameo is a platform for people to reach out and get noticed by different celebrities around the world, including Disney stars! After you pay the fee (it ain’t free to be famous, folks!), the celebrity of your choice will make a video for you to celebrate an occasion, give a pep talk or life advice, and just have a friendly conversation in general. Drew Seeley

If you’re a High School Musical fan, Drew Seeley might sound like a familiar name! While Zac Efron sang for Troy later on in the series, Drew Seeley was actually the singing voice behind Troy Bolton in the first film (this shook us to our core when we found out as kids). Seeley even went on to tour with the cast to sing the hit songs from the movies during High School Musical: The Concert.

Later on, though, Drew left behind his days at East High to become a Disney Prince! During The Little Mermaid on Broadway‘s run, he played Prince Eric at one point (so he’s basically the ultimate heartthrob). Seeley will make videos for $50 after you request what you’d like to hear AND he’ll sing songs for you with that amazing voice of his.

Bart Johnson

Get’cha head in the game!! Wildcats, Coach Bolton is making Cameos for you, whether it’s basketball season or not. Bart Johnson is honestly a High School Musical super fan, even after being one of the stars. He will give Cameos in character as Coach Bolton (complete with plenty of “Go, Wildcats!!” pep talks).

He is ridiculously funny and dramatic! Buuut, he also does do Cameos just as himself as well for $50 (and we think he’s just as great as Bart).

Kimberly J. Brown

If you were a big fan of Halloweentown back in the day, you’ll recognize Kimberly J. Brown as the actress who played the main character, Marnie!

When you purchase a Cameo for $75, she’ll tell you stories and anecdotes that most people don’t know about her time on set for different Disney Channel movies (like how her brother played one of the infants in Quints). And, she’ll even chant some birthday spells with you to bring some extra magic to your day all the way from Halloweentown!

Susan Egan

Have you ever wanted to talk to a real-life Disney Princess? We’re not talking about the face characters in the parks! Susan Egan who voiced Meg in Hercules and starred as the original Belle in Beauty and the Beast on Broadway creates magical Cameos for $85.

Susan will come up with songs for the people who buy her Cameos based on the Disney music from her characters’ films (so she will literally serenade you ).

Patti Murin

But, the entertainment from Disney Princesses doesn’t stop there! Patti Murin played the original Anna in Frozen on Broadway (which sounds like the coolest job ever ).

You could ask her about her experience on Broadway, her time spent as one of the most well-beloved princesses, or even ask her to sing a bit of a song for you! Plus, it would be a sweet gift for all your little princesses and princes to enjoy for $40.

Jim Cummings

It’s hard to say everything that Jim Cummings has done for Disney, since he has voiced SO MANY characters throughout the parks, movies, and more! Jim has brought characters like Winnie the Pooh and Tigger to life as well as taking travelers on galactic adventures as the voice behind the Hondo Ohnaka animatronic at Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. Or OUR favorite — the narrator of IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth!!

He will make videos for you in the voices of his characters, using toys in the videos like Pooh and Tigger stuffed animals. They’ll have conversations back and forth about anniversaries, birthdays, and other special events for $175 per Cameo.

Billy Dee Williams

So many of us grew up with the Skywalkers, Han Solo, and Chewbacca as they worked together to take down the Empire in one of the most iconic series in the history of films. Disney+ is starting a new Summer Movie Nights series where they will debut a blockbuster hit or original movie EVERY WEEK. Gather the fam and settle in for Friday night fun because this lineup is super exciting!

Summer Movie Nights will kick things off with the highly-anticipated premiere of Broadway’s Hamilton on July 3rd. Haven’t seen the trailer yet? Ya gotta see it. This musical is the epitome of epic rolled into a patriotic package. The perfect way to celebrate 4th of July weekend.

Rumored: Will Captain Jack Sparrow Appear in Future ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ Movies? After rumors swirled of  domestic abuse allegations against Johnny Depp shortly after the announcement of a soft Pirates of the Caribbean reboot Disney was quick to announce that the franchise would be searching for younger talent, potentially replacing Johnny Depp as the infamous Captain Jack Sparrow.

The accusations against Johnny Depp were soon proven to be false and Depp is now in a drawn out legal battle with his ex-wife, Amber Heard, but what about his fate with the Pirates franchise? It seems Disney has not made up their mind about Depp reprising his role as the chaotic pirate captain and may not for some time.

Disney has moved forward with the untitled movie project, even casting Margot Robbie in an undisclosed lead role for the film, but Disney has been keen on leaving out any information regarding the whereabouts of Sparrow in the next installment.

Not much is known about the 6th Pirates film other than the movie is supposedly the first prequel in the series and will take place before the events of The Curse of the Black Pearl. The film will also feature a primarily female led cast of characters, one of which is rumored to be “Redd”, the recently reimagined character from the Pirates of the Caribbean attractions in the Disney Parks. “Redd” is a revitalized version of the red headed woman that was featured in the old bride auction scene of the beloved Pirates of the Caribbean attraction at the Disney Parks around the world, who has since been re-imagined to be the Captain of the motley crew that lines the docks of the attractions. Disney has been making a conscious effort to be more inclusive and give audiences more relatable characters to inspire and share fantastic and magical stories of adventure, romance, and more, and it looks like they aim to do the same on the high seas. It is unknown if Margot Robbie has been cast in this role or if she will take on another lead character role in the movie.

A Disney insider recently had shared that Disney may even be in the market for a new actor to play the role of a younger Jack Sparrow, with the primary interest being Disney Channel alumni, Zac Efron to take on the iconic role.

Obviously, most of this is hearsay at this point, but it does raise many questions about how Disney is putting together a new Pirates film without a vast majority, or possibly the entirety, of it’s previous cast which has fueled the success of the prior films in theaters.

We hope the secrecy is worth it, but it is VERY hard to imagine anyone else filling the role of the Captain Jack Sparrow. Christina Hodson (Birds of Prey) is set to pen the script for Disney. Disney has confirmed Pirates of the Caribbean 6 is in the works, but has not confirmed any other casting or production details at this time. But, if the other rumors be true, well then “drink up me ‘earties, Yo ho!” Be sure to check back here at Chip and Co. for all things Disney!

Disney World is reopening, but that doesn’t mean it’s easy to get there.

Travel is still significantly hindered and discouraged as a result of the global health crisis, especially when it comes to international travel. The various travel restrictions and bans around the world definitely make it difficult to get to the United States from many countries. Now, we have an update on travel between the United States and the European Union.

According to WESH Orlando, the European Union has announced that it will open its borders to travelers from 14 countries, not including the United States at this time. Travelers from the U.S. will be denied entry for at least another two weeks.

The list of allowed countries will be updated every 14 days to potentially add new countries or remove existing listed countries if necessary. Keep an eye on DFB to learn more about the restrictions on international travel and what they mean for your Disney trip.
