Take a Peek Inside the New Barn at Tri-Circle-D Ranch in Disney World!

Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground has officially debuted the brand new barn at Tri-Circle-D Ranch!

The barn is ready just in time for the Resort to welcome back guests on June 22nd. And despite the closure, the animal care team has been hard at work taking care of the horses and getting them settled in at the new barn!

Walt Disney World Resort president, Jeff Vahle, gave us a preview of the additions to Tri-Circle-D Ranch on his Instagram a few days ago. And now, Disney has shared an even closer look at both the new barn AND its adorable new resident!

Walt Disney dreamed of having horses in Magic Kingdom park, much like he did in Disneyland. And so, Tri-Circle-D Ranch was established before the opening day of Walt Disney World Resort!

Back in August, Disney announced that they would begin building a new barn at the ranch, featuring larger stalls for the horses, plus 10 additional stalls, all equipped with automatic water stations.

The new barn is more than twice the size of the original, and it features a wedding harness room showcasing tack for Cinderella’s ponies as well as the return of the museum dedicated to Walt’s love of horses. It’s also home to the Dragon Calliope, the horse-drawn musical wagon Walt Disney purchased to use in Disneyland back in the 1950s!

And we can’t forget the cutest addition to Tri-Circle-D Ranch — welcome Violet, the new foal who was born at the ranch just a few weeks ago! Here she is running through the pasture with her mom, Elsa! Violet is definitely adorable enough to thaw a frozen heart!

Guests will find the new barn just around the corner from the bus loop by Pioneer Hall. We can’t wait to check out the museum — and, of course, get a peek at baby Violet!

Here’s How Disney’s Vero Beach Resort is Handling In-Room Shower Products!

Disney’s Vero Beach Resort reopened to guests on June 15th.

Here’s How Disney’s Vero Beach Resort is Handling In-Room Shower Products!

Pool at Disney’s Vero Beach Resort

Upon reopening, Vero Beach Resort implemented a number of new safety measures including masks required in certain areas, social distancing procedures, and increased sanitation measures.

And one of our readers, Brandy Oliphant, noticed something interesting about the in-room shampoo, conditioners, and body wash containers. The fixtures attached to the shower wall have NOT been removed, but it does appear that they were sanitized as part of the housekeeping process and sealed in plastic confirming that they’ve been cleaned!

We’ve been wondering what might become of the dispensers that were recently added to several Disney World Resort hotels, so the approach taken at Vero Beach Resort could give us a clue about what to expect at other hotels!

Walt Disney World Resort Hotel Reopening Dates Announced

While we know that the Disney Vacation Club Resorts and Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort are all reopening at the Walt Disney World Resort on June 22, the questions has remained – when will the other resort hotels reopen? Disney has finally revealed those details.

Here are the dates that most of the resort hotels will be reopening. Do keep in mind, not every hotel has an official reopening date, as of yet.

  • July 10 – Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Jambo House, Disney’s Pop Century Resort, Disney’s Contemporary Resort
  • July 29 – Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
  • Aug. 12 – Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
  • Aug. 24 – Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resorts
  • Sept. 21 – Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
  • Oct. 1 – Disney’s BoardWalk Resort
  • Oct. 14 – Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort

As hotels reopen, there will be a deliberate approach to implement a number of health and safety measures based on guidance from various governmental authorities and health agencies.

Of course, of notice as not part of the announcement are Disney’s All-Star Resorts and Disney’s Port Orleans Resorts. No word on if/when these resorts will be reopening or if Guests booked at these resorts will be moved to other resorts. We do know that Guests with current reservations at impacted Disney Resort hotels can request help with modifying their reservation starting Monday June 22. Disney does state that they will continue to evaluate the situation and reopen more locations when the environment is right to do so.

Of course, keep in mind that all of these plans may still change, as Disney is closely monitoring the constantly changing health environment and its impact on the state of Florida. Guests should note that given the fluidity of the current environment, the dates that the Walt Disney World Resort hotels are to reopen are subject to change and Guests’ reservations could still be modified to other resort hotels if needed.
