Changes to Disney’s Magical Express During The Initial Reopening

For Guests who are traveling to the Walt Disney World Resort and utilizing Disney’s Magical Express to get them to their Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, there have been some changes that you need to be aware of.

During the initial reopening phase, while the complimentary airport transportation option is still available for Guests arriving and departing from Orlando International Airport, beginning on July 16, Disney’s Magical Express service will not be providing luggage delivery service for those arriving to and departing from the airport. What this means is that Guests will need to make sure they pick up their own luggage first from the baggage claim area and then head to the Disney’s Magical Express section of the airport. In addition, Guests who are departing the resort to head back to the airport will also need to bring their luggage with them on the bus. The resort airline check-in service will not be offered at this time.

Luggage assistance will be available at the front of your Disney Resort hotel, including luggage storage, as well as the ability to assist you by transporting your luggage to the room.

Also, during these times of uncertainty, many airlines are modifying their flight schedules, so you will want to make sure that you contact Disney’s Magical Express to let them know of any changes to your flight information.

Disney Parks Blog Presents Disney Paper Parks Designed by Walt Disney Imagineering, Part 2

Today, you can complete your Disney Paper Parks of Main Street, U.S.A. and the “Magic Happens” parade with the release of part two of Disney Paper Parks. Once completed, know that we have more printable, 3D activity sheets on the way, and in the meantime, enjoy moving the floats down your parade route at home as pieces of moving art!

When Imagineers Stephanie Jazmines and Amy Young designed Disney Paper Parks for the Disney Parks Blog, they wanted to remind guests how big of an opportunity a blank sheet of paper can be. If that sounds familiar, it was a mantra of Disney Legend and Imagineer Marty Sklar.

Stephanie said, “With today’s increasing emphasis on the digital, it’s always rewarding to step back and remember what you’re capable of making with some imagination and your own two hands.”

As a reminder, the activity sheets require the use of scissors, glue and folding along dotted lines in specific directions. For best results, we recommend printing the sheets at their actual size, not scaling them to fit the page. For those with little ones, we also recommend adult participation or supervision.

“It’s amazing what you can create with a single piece of paper,” Amy said. “So, grab your art supplies, pack your patience and take your time to create your very own paper park. We are so excited to see Disney fans bring these pages to life!”

By downloading Disney Paper Parks, you acknowledge and agree that these materials are being provided to you for personal, non-commercial use.

New MerchPass System Coming To shopDisney For Limited Edition Items

New MerchPass System Coming To shopDisney For Limited Edition Items

It looks like some major changes are coming to shopDisney for the limited edition releases! A new MerchPass System has been introduced for the upcoming Arendelle Disney Castle Collection. This new system was announced on the shopDisney website Thursday, July 9th.

MerchPass System

New MerchPass System Coming To shopDisney For Limited Edition Items MerchPass System

This is being treated as a “promotion” through the shopDisney website. Most likely because it is being done as a lottery system. Lottery systems used to be used a lot for limited releases previously but haven’t been prevalent much in the past couple of years. Between July 13 at 7:00 AM PDT, and July 14 at 11:59 PM PDT guests can enter for early access drawings, to reserve an opportunity to purchase high-demand items. This is only open to legal residents of the 50 U.S. & D.C. who are 18+ at time of entry.

There will be a limit of 1 entry per person per item offered in Promotion. The random drawing is to be held on about July 16th, and entrants will be notified via e-mail by July 16th at 5:00 PM PDT if selected.

If your entry is selected, you have through July 17, 2020, to purchase the item at the designated price. Be sure to check the FAQ and promotional terms for all the details!

What do you think of the new MerchPass System for purchasing limited edition items on shopDisney?
