Now that the NBA will be finishing its 2019-2020 season at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, people are getting VERY excited about the 22 teams that will be arriving at Disney World in mere weeks!

Previously, a series of modified NBA logos took the sports and Disney fandoms by storm, prompting one of our readers to reach out to us with her own NBA X Disney artwork! As soon as we saw her designs, we knew you guys would LOVE ’em!

Jessie Kavana is a designer based out of New York City and her portraits of these famous NBA players are SPOT ON! Here’s Portland Trail Blazers’ Damian Lillard spending a little quality time with Beauty and the Beast‘s Cogsworth.

Kawhi Leonard from the L.A. Clippers has been chosen by this little green alien from Toy Story!

Meanwhile, James Harden from the Houston Rockets has the whole world in his hands — well, at least Spaceship Earth, that is.

Giannis Antetokounmpo from the Milwaukee Bucks has buddied up with a new friend — Bambi!

And this portrait of L.A. Lakers’ Anthony Davis is a MOOD with Hollywood Tower of Terror looming off in the distance!

We think this Sorcerer Mickey hat really suits Orlando Magic’s Aaron Gordon! He should think about wearing one IRL!

Kyle Lowry from the Toronto Raptors should turn around — it looks like something might be gaining on him!

LeBron James also from the Lakers looks pretty adorable with a classic Mickey Ears Hat!

But our favorite mash-up of all is this one of Oklahoma City’s Thunder’s Chris Paul who goes by the nickname CP3! Very clever pairing him up with the protocol droid, C-3P0!

Yesterday, Disney World set up some practice courts for the NBA teams to use while they’re in town. We’ll be on the lookout for more signs of their imminent arrival and will keep sharing all the news with you!

It’s 4th of July weekend and you know what that means!

4TH OF JULY TREATS! Thanks to a reader, we just got word that one of our favorite patriotic cocktails from last year has returned! We’re heading over to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort to sip on red-white-and-blue-est libation — the Uncle Slam!

The Uncle Slam is available at Polynesian Village Resort’s Barefoot Pool Bar for $12.75. If you snag it, you’ll be sipping on an all-American combo of Bacardi Silver rum blended with Cream of Coconut, Pineapple Juice, and Strawberry Puree, with a floater of Blue Curacao.

We tried this bad boy last year and we were pretty big fans. The drink is kind of similar to a Miami Vice and has a lot of really awesome flavor. Plus, how can you NOT drink a red, white, and blue cocktail for the 4th of July?

Eager Marvel Studios fan have been waiting for an update on the development of the upcoming Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings movie. The movie’s release was pushed back due to COVID-19 shutting down the film production earlier this year. The superhero movie is currently set to premiere in theaters on May 7, 2021, but the studio needs to wrap-up filming within the next few months to avoid any further delay.

A new report indicates that filming may resume in late July. Marvel Studios is hoping to continue filming in Australia later this month. The cast and crew of Shang-Chi are expected to self-quarantine for two weeks upon arriving in Australia. They are being cautious by taking “baby steps” to ensure the health and safety of all those involved in production. Also, Shang-Chi is the second movie from Walt Disney Studios that is returning to film production following 20th Century Studios’ Avatar 2 which resumed production last month in New Zealand.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is an America superhero film based upon the Marvel Comics character of the same name. Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, it is intended to be the 26th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
