Just look at this adorable Mickey Mouse whisk! We’re surprised this cutie didn’t bring back the six-hour virtual lines. He costs $16.99 and looks like he’ll make for a fun new kitchen pal.
Mickey Whisk from World of Disney
He’s got a quirky little smirk that says, “Oh boy! Let’s mix up some goodies!”
We’re all geared up for Disney World to reopen soon! In the meantime, a Disney shopping spree will have to tie us over. And while we wait for the real Mickey waffles from our Disney favorite restaurants, we can just mix some up at home!

Disney World was in talks with Actors’ Equity Association and was hoping to resume rehearsals soon. But according to Deadline, it appears the two parties are at a bit of impasse.
The executive committee of Actors’ Equity Association has unanimously rejected Walt Disney World’s plan for the safety of its members due to the absence of testing in the proposal.
Epcot
In a memo sent to its members, the association said testing “has only become more important over the last week. Since our public call last week for testing, there have been more than 43,000 new coronavirus cases in Florida.”
At this time, Disney World hasn’t recalled any Equity members to work, and Equity’s leadership is asking its members to speak out about the importance of testing on their social media platforms.

One of my all-time favorite moments of any Disney attraction happens aboard Seven Dwarfs Mine Train inside Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida … but more on that in a moment.
This rustic mine train in New Fantasyland takes you inside the world of the classic Disney film “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.” With your creaky cart teetering back and forth, you feel the wind on your face as you navigate dips and turns before eventually arriving at the lovable dwarfs’ mine.
As you chug through the cavern, you get to see them at work (most of them, anyway … looking at you, Sleepy!), collecting colorful gems. And then as you reach the bottom of an incline leading out of the mine, all the dwarfs’ voices coalesce to sing their famous “Heigh-ho!” chorus. It is such a beautiful moment that literally surrounds you, their voices echoing off the walls and seemingly buoying your train up the climb out of the mine. It gives me chills every time.
In this new “Ride & Learn” video, whistle while you work on discovering all sorts of fascinating facts about Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, one of the most popular attractions in all of Walt Disney World Resort. I’m looking forward to experiencing it again in person real soon when Magic Kingdom Park begins its phased reopening July 11.

Governments around the country are still grappling with the best way to handle the current global health crisis.
Hollywood Sign
Just days after the delay of the reopening of Disneyland, California Governor Gavin Newsom announced that 19 California counties, including Orange County (Disneyland’s location), will be impacted by an action that ceases all indoor operations for certain sectors.
News of the action came today during a press conference with the Governor. All restaurants, wineries and tasting rooms, movie theaters, family entertainment centers, zoos, and museums and cardrooms in the 19 impacted counties must close their indoor operations. Orange County is included in the impacted counties.
Impacted Counties
The action also includes the total closure of bars in all 19 counties. Newsom went on to urge that citizens not gather with anyone outside of their household. Parking areas at state beaches will be closed as well and Newsom encouraged the cancelation of 4th of July fireworks in impacted counties.
The action will extend for at least the next three weeks. Do note that outdoor dining and operations are not prohibited at this time so if a business can move their operations outdoors (such as with outdoor dining space), they can remain open.
An empty Downtown Disney
It is not yet clear how this action will impact the reopening of Downtown Disney, currently slated for July 9th. We spoke with Governor Newsom’s office and they explained that since Disneyland was not specifically mentioned, they don’t know whether it is included.
We also spoke with Black Tap Craft Burgers & Shakes, a location in Downtown Disney. They explained that they couldn’t legally talk about how the action affected them but that Downtown Disney is still aiming to open on July 9th.
Black Tap
As of right now, we don’t have a definitive answer on Downtown Disney — but we’re investigating for you. Stay tuned to DFB for more updates about how this action affects Disneyland.

In this week’s “Better Know an Attraction” series, we’ll be taking a close look at a Fantasyland classic, Pinocchio’s Daring Journey. Read on for more!
Pinocchio’s Daring Journey is one of those classic Disneyland Fantasyland dark rides, where you travel along a twisting and turning path through scenes following Pinocchio as he tries to make his way home.
Where is Pinocchio’s Daring Journey?
Pinocchio’s Daring Journey is in the heart of Fantasyland on the left as you pass through the castle.
Pinocchio’s Daring Journey History
Pinocchio’s Daring Journey opened on May 23, 1983 (though it frankly feels much older). It replaced the Mickey Mouse Club Theater, which had previously occupied that space.
What You Need to Know About the Pinocchio’s Daring Journey Queue
The queue for Pinocchio’s Daring Journey is an unremarkable series of switchbacks. The entire queue is indoors but open to the outside, i.e., it’s not air conditioned. The queue cannot accommodate wheelchairs and ECVs, so guests using those can need to enter through the exit.
What is the Ride Experience Like for Pinocchio’s Daring Journey?
Pinocchio’s Daring Journey follows the formula used by most Fantasyland dark rides, where you’ll travel along a twisting, winding path through 3D scenes documenting Pinocchio’s adventures. The ride can be jerky, but should not present motion or other issues for most guests. The attraction does include some darkness, loud noises, and scary elements that could frighten some smaller children.
What are the Ride Vehicles Like for Pinocchio’s Daring Journey?
Pinocchio’s Daring Journey puts guests in vehicles designed to look like wooden carts, which are carved with characters from the classic story like Jiminy Cricket and Figaro.
What You Need to Know About Accessibility for Pinocchio’s Daring Journey
Guests do need to be able to transfer into the ride vehicle to be able to ride Pinocchio’s Daring Journey. Guests in wheelchairs and ECVs should enter through the exit where you will be directed by a cast member for further boarding instructions. Captioning and audio descriptions are available.
What You Need to Know About Health and Safety Warnings for Pinocchio’s Daring Journey
Pinocchio’s Daring Journey does not carry any special safety warnings and is intended to be appropriate for all audiences. The ride does contain some darkness and loud noises that may frighten some small children.
What are the Height Restrictions for Pinocchio’s Daring Journey?
There are no height restrictions for Pinocchio’s Daring Journey, but guests under 7 must be accompanied by someone 14 or older.
Does Pinocchio’s Daring Journey Offer FastPass?
No.
Does Weather Affect Pinocchio’s Daring Journey?
The attraction is indoors and will run rain or shine. The queue is “indoors” but it’s open to the elements and can get hot when it’s particularly hot out. With that said, the wait is typically not overly long, so it’s rarely an issue.
What’s the Best Time of Day to Experience Pinocchio’s Daring Journey?
Pinocchio’s Daring Journey is a minor attraction, and even on the busiest days, it’s rare for the wait to exceed a half hour. The apex of the day between noon and 4 or so should still be avoided to minimize your wait, but this should not be the attraction you’re running to first thing. Expected wait times on a crowd-level basis are noted here, but be sure to check out the expected wait time for the date you intend to be there.
