Disney Cruise Line Cast Member dies at Sea

Disney Cruise Line Cast Member dies at Sea Disney Wonder Cast Member

A painter who worked onboard the Disney Cruise Line Ship the Disney Wonder died this past Tuesday.

Eddie Burgos Ragodon of the Philippines had visited the ship’s medical center in recent days with chills, according to a colleague who requested anonymity for fear of retaliation. Right now the Disney Wonder is traveling around the Caribbean to repatriate crew members who have been stuck on board since the cruise line industry shut down in March.

Disney Cruise Line will test Ragodon for COVID-19, said the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. It is not yet clear if Ragodon’s death was caused by COVID-19.

“We are saddened by yesterday’s passing of our longtime Crew Member, and we are mourning along with his family,” said a Disney spokesperson Kim Prunty in an email.

At least 255 people onboard the Disney Wonder has tested positive for COVID-19 since March 1st making it among the largest known cruise ship outbreaks. However for nearly a month now, no other Disney Wonder Crew Members have tested positive.

Disney Cruise Line announced recently that the Disney Wonder sailings that were scheduled to depart between Aug. 3 and Sept. 14, 2020, have been suspended. Disney Cruise Line is offering a Cruise Date Flexibility feature, which will allow Guests the option to change their sail date up to 15 days prior to their cruise.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family…

This fun new treat was at the Gasparilla Island Grill which is the Grand Floridian’s quick service restaurant. They do have social distancing measures in place so browsing the dessert case isn’t an option right now. This Mickey cake pop was sitting on top in it’s cute little box.

The Welcome Back Mickey Cake Pop is a chocolate fudge cake inside covered in a layer of milk chocolate with milk chocolate ears. The bottom had some fun sprinkles. It comes in a little plastic box so it’s easy to travel with. Just beware of the Florida heat this melted very fast. Make sure to grab some napkins.

Behind the Scenes at Cars Land in Disney California Adventure

Behind the Scenes at Cars Land in Disney California Adventure carsland

Cars Land in Disney California Adventure park at the Disneyland Resort opened in June 2012. This new area of the park is an extraordinary and one-of-a-kind experience that transports guests to Radiator Springs and the world of Disney and Pixar’s “Cars.”

Turning this well-loved story into a real land that guests could experience took the talent and imagination of an amazing team. Kathy Mangum, executive producer of Cars Land, and Roger Gould, Pixar’s creative director for theme parks, discuss Cars Land’s unique evolution, rich, vibrant story, and what it was like to help dream up this special land in the video below.

Cars Land is one of the most amazing and breathtaking lands in a Disney theme park. The land combines creativity, innovation, and technology, as only Walt Disney Imagineering and Pixar can do.

We can’t wait until we can take a stroll down Route 66 again, especially at night when all of the neon is lit! Do you miss Cars Land as much as we do?
