Mark Hamill Confirms He Had Cameos In ‘The Mandalorian’ and Every Star Wars Movie Excluding the Prequels

Mark Hamill Confirms He Had Cameos In ‘The Mandalorian’ and Every Star Wars Movie Excluding the Prequels

Mark Hamill Confirms He Had Cameos In ‘The Mandalorian’ and Every Star Wars Movie Excluding the Prequels. Star Wars fans are having their minds blown up like Alderaan after it was revealed that Mark Hamill has played several characters in the Star Wars franchise other than Luke Skywalker.

Mark has had a wildly successful career as both a live-action actor and voice actor on an impressive amount of titles including films, television and video games, but most fans knew him first as Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars franchise. Though the news isn’t really “new,” Hamill drew attention to his cameos after it was shared that he voiced a character in The Mandalorian and went nearly 7-months before anyone outside of production found out!

Mark confirmed the news via Twitter as well as sharing one of his pseudonyms when recording smaller voice acting roles named “Patrick Williams”, sharing: “Now that [The Mandalorian] secret is out-might as well reveal I am vocally represented in ALL SW films except the Prequels. Thanks to [Matthew Wood] for using me in Rogue One, Solo & the Sequels, so I DO have lines in [Episode VII]. Hint: Look for parts played by Patrick Williams. [True Story]”

Some of Mark Hamill‘s known Star Wars cameos include:

  • Darth Bane in Star Wars: The Clone Wars
  • Dabofkya, the drunk alien in The Last Jedi that deposits gold coins into BB-8 at the Casino
  • Boolio, the Ovissian resistance spy seen at the beginning of The Rise of Skywalker
  • EV-9D9 bartending droid in The Mandalorian Season 1

Mark claims he also appeared in other voice acting roles in other Star Wars titles such as Solo: A Star Wars Story, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and all three Star Wars Sequels.

Did you know Mark played other characters besides Luke in the Star Wars franchise? What other roles do you think Hamill secretly played in the Star Wars films? We would love to hear your thoughts in the comments.

Resort Mobile Ordering in the Social Distancing World

Today, we got to test out the new procedures for mobile ordering at resorts. Specifically, we ordered food at Contempo Cafe at Disney’s Contemporary Resort for lunch to see how the new procedures would work. The answer is surprisingly well for light crowds, however we do have some concerns about how well this will scale for larger crowds.

If you’ve used mobile ordering in the My Disney Experience app, the process will be familiar with minor modifications. For mobile ordering through the app at the resort, you select a time you want to pick up your food.

Then select your items, customize as needed, and pay for the food in the app.

Arrive at your selected time and wait for the app to notify you that your order is ready. At that point, proceed to the entrance point. There will be a marker on the ground to indicate where you should start lining up until there’s room to proceed to pick up your food.

You will be directed to proceed to one of two stations where you will pick up your food. When we were there, crowds were so light that this doesn’t cause any problems, however it may become a bottleneck if those are the only two stations when crowds are heavy.

You receive your order in a bag, packaged to go, with everything inside sealed.

Follow the arrows to the one and only exit.

You can take your order back to your hotel room, or find a table nearby. For social distancing purposes, some tables have signs requesting you not to sit at those locations.

One item that we noted is that plastic lids were back on some drinks, but straws are still the paper variety. Otherwise, it is exactly what you’d expect from a to-go order from Contempo Cafe. For drink refills, a cast member will take your old cup and give you a refill with a new cup–cups are not reused, and drinks are not self-service.

Resort Mobile Ordering in the Social Distancing World

Overall, the process is quick and easy, but it remains to be seen how well this will scale up for larger crowds.

NEWS: Disney’s Hollywood Studios Park Pass Reservations are Going FAST!

Disney World’s new Disney Park Pass theme park reservation system launched this morning and (perhaps unsurprisingly) the website had some issues keeping up with demand. Eventually, though, the reservation system went live and resort guests rushed to get their reservations for opening day and beyond.

NEWS: Disney’s Hollywood Studios Park Pass Reservations are Going FAST!

Disney’s Hollywood Studios entrance

Now, after just a few hours of being available, Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme park reservations are GONE for opening day and the two days after.  As of now, you won’t be able to make Hollywood Studios reservations on July 15th, 16th, or 17th

Whew! That was fast! Disney Park Pass reservations are subject to availability. Though Disney has not released capacity numbers for the reopened parks — we know that there is a significant limit on attendance.

None of the other theme parks are unavailable for any dates after they reopen as of press time.

So, yes, reservations for opening day and a few days past are officially unavailable at Hollywood Studios. There is a function that allows guests to cancel reservations, but as of now, it is unclear how smoothly the system will work in handling cancellations. Could this mean that those canceled reservations could become available to other guests? We’re not sure just yet.

FIRST Look INSIDE a REOPENED Disney World Hotel Room!

We’re checking out a REOPENED Disney World resort today after already completing our contactless online check-in a few days ago!

Bay Lake Tower

There are already a bunch of interesting changes we’ve noticed today, but now it’s time to take a look at what’s different about our hotel rooms! Here’s a first look inside one of Disney World’s newly reopened hotel rooms!

We were pretty interested to see how Disney has changed our home away from home while we’ve been away. We couldn’t wait to check out our room once Disney texted us it was ready! Plus, we were able to bypass the front desk and use the My Disney Experience’s digital key feature to unlock our door!

Things looked about the same as we remembered them at first glance. We’ve stayed at Disney’s Contemporary Resort’s Bay Lake Tower quite a few times, so we know their DVC studios like the back of our hands!

Upon closer inspection, we could tell a few things had definitely been changed! For one, we noticed there was no bed skirt on our bed. Decorative throw pillows have also been removed.

Our room also had a new sign regarding the enhanced cleaning of our room. Disney is giving all rooms a “thorough cleaning” before your arrival. Specifically, they mention paying special attention to high-touch areas like TV remotes and door handles.

Enhanced Cleaning Sign

We noticed our DVD and TV remote were freshly sanitized and wrapped in plastic bags.

Guest rooms’ floors are being steam-cleaned and vacuumed between guests. Furthermore, housekeeping tools are be cleaned between each room’s cleaning.

Our bathroom was equipped with all the usual supplies including bath towels, facial tissue, mini toiletries, and toilet paper.

Since this is a Disney Vacation Club room, housekeeping is now scheduled to come on the fourth and eighth days of our stay. Guests staying in non-DVC rooms will receive a light cleaning service every other day of your stay. Both DVC members and regular resort guests can also choose to decline housekeeping services.

Our room also has a small kitchenette that still included its microwave, mini-fridge, and smaller appliances.

The in-room coffee maker was still hanging out!

And we still had our coffee-making supplies, disposable cutlery, regular kitchen towel, and can opener.

Our toaster was also still available…

…and we had the usual supply of disposable cups, bowls, and plates which are individually wrapped.

Keep in mind many of these amenities like a toaster, can opener, and more are standard in DVC rooms like this, but you’ll find the standard in-room coffee maker present in non-DVC rooms! The room was also equipped with its extra blanket, pillow, and hangers…

…and the ironing board and iron were also still present.

The in-room safe is also still available for guests to use.

As you can see, the rooms really haven’t changed all that much from a guests’ perspective even though Disney World has really increased its cleaning procedures at the hotels! We’ll be reporting on all of the changes we see in Disney World today so make sure you follow along with DFB!

We’re LIVE from the grand reopening of the Disney World resorts! Click here to follow along!
