The Disney Springs area was among in the first at the resort to begin a phased reopening. However, when Disney Springs reopened on May 27th, something was noticeably still closed. As the world gets used to a new kind of normal, AMC is also adapting to create a positive and safe experience for their guests to enjoy. AMC theatres have partnered with cleaning brand Clorox to ensure they have the best methods of keeping their space clean and sanitary. They have also implimented a new initiative that is named, AMC Safe & Clean. This initiative ensures that intense measures of cleanliness are being taken daily to ensure the health and safety of AMC staff and guests.

With implementing these new methods of health and safety, AMC in Disney Springs is ready to start showing plenty of new films and classic films we all know and love! They are more than excited to welcome their guests back just in time for the premier of Disney’s live action Mulan!

Disney H2O Glow Nights Cancelled for 2020

If you had plans this summer of attending the Disney H2O Glow Nights at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon, I have bad news. The nighttime hard ticket event has been cancelled for the remainder of 2020, due to COVID-19.

Disney H2O Glow Nights would have allows Guests the opportunity to meet favorite Toy Story 4 characters, enjoy specially themed food and beverage items, experience high-energy DJ dance parties, purchase exclusive merchandise and experience favorite Typhoon Lagoon’s attractions with shorter wait times and more.

Guests who have already bought tickets to this event will be assisted with refunds over the coming weeks.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Cancelled for 2020

While initially we had reported that Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party seemed to be returning, Disney has officially shared that the popular event at the Magic Kingdom, would in fact, not be doing so.

Honestly I was a bit surprised when I had heard that the party would be continuing. Given the fact that the big parts of the evening involve fireworks, a parade, and stage shows, and given the news that these events wouldn’t be happening on a daily basis at the parks, I thought it would be very hard to give Guests a quality event that they paid extra for. Turns out, my initial thoughts were correct.

Guests who have already purchased tickets to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will be issued a refund over the coming weeks.

Here’s hoping that Guests will once again be able to experience this popular event in 2021.

EPCOT Food and Wine Festival Returns for 2020

If you love the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival, then this news is for you! The festival, which usually happens in the fall, this year will be moved up and will be taking place for the longest festival ever. The EPCOT Food and Wine Festival kicks off when the park reopens, on July 15!

It won’t be exactly like normal though. This year, it will be “A Taste of EPCOT Food and Wine Festival.” There will be 20 global marketplaces for Guests to experience, such as Hawaii, Hops & Barley, and Islands of the Caribbean, but the booths will be spread throughout the park, so as to keep them properly distanced!

The EPCOT Food and Wine Festival will once again feature Remy’s Ratatouille Hide and Squeak scavenger hunt and Guests will even be able to see the topiary that was created for the EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival, the one of Remy, in the France Pavilion. And according to Disney, for those who missed it, there may be some Flower and Garden merchandise that’s available for purchase. (We’re just melding all the festivals at this point!)

Unfortunately, thanks to COVID-19, the Eat to the Beat Concert Series will not be taking place this year. However, Guests will be able to enjoy musical performances in the America Gardens Theater with EPCOT musicians like Mariachi Cobre, the JAMMitors and more. These fan favorites will have performances throughout the day, giving audiences more options to enjoy them.

No end date for the festival has been announced; all Disney is saying right now is that the festival will continue into the fall.

So, while it will be a very different EPCOT Food and Wine Festival this year, it appears that the show will go on and Guests will still get to enjoy many of their favorite aspects of this popular festival for this unusual year.
