Disney Fans Magically Transform their Pool into the Jungle Cruise from the Disney Parks

Disney Fans Magically Transform their Pool into the Jungle Cruise from the Disney Parks. The Stuckey Family from Houston, Texas has been feeling a bit stuck in quarantine and decided to turn their pool into the world famous Jungle Cruise to help pass the time. The whole family got involved with shooting their own rendition of The Jungle Cruise including many of the iconic jokes from the popular attraction in the Disney Parks.

“Family transforms backyard pool into the Jungle Cruise!! The Coronavirus quarantine got to us! Take a wild ride through the Jungle with a miniature skipper and his crazy crew! Come with us and enjoy our Jungle Cruise! See what a family of six can make when they have a love for Disney an iPhone, wireless mic, pool, gimbal, and a fog machine — and end up spending far too much time at home by themselves. Can anyone else say stir crazy!!?”

You can check out the full video below:

The World Famous Jungle Cruise has been a beloved Disney Parks attraction since the opening of Disneyland on July 17, 1955. The Jungle Cruise remains so popular it recently sparked the creation of a film of the same name! Check out the synopsis for the film below:

“Dr. Lily Houghton (Emily Blunt) enlists the aid of wisecracking skipper Frank Wolff (Dwayne Johnson) to take her down the Amazon in his ramshackle boat. Together, they search for an ancient tree that holds the power to heal — a discovery that will change the future of medicine.” The Jungle Cruise is scheduled to release in theaters July 31, 2021.

We love seeing all the fan made videos featuring our favorite “at home” Disney attractions! Which videos do you love the most? I am partial to the Splash Mountain video myself, hehehe. We would love to hear your choice in the comments. Be sure to check back here at Chip and Co. for all things Disney!

Disney+ To Premiere Inspirational Drama ‘Clouds’

Clouds

Disney+ announced today that the moving and inspirational feature film “Clouds” will premiere exclusively on the streaming service this fall. The film, which recently completed production in Montreal, is based on the memoir Fly a Little Higher by Laura Sobiech, Zach Sobiech’s mother. Directed and produced by Wayfarer Studios co-founder Justin Baldoni (“Five Feet Apart”), the project is the first narrative film acquisition from the Disney+ Global Content team and will be available exclusively in all Disney+ markets.

“Clouds” is the true story of Zach Sobiech, a musically gifted 17-year old living with a rare bone cancer (osteosarcoma). The film follows Zach’s journey over the course of his senior year as he navigates the complexities of love, friendship, family and leaving behind a musical legacy. The film stars Fin Argus (Brat’s “Total Eclipse”) as Zach Sobiech, Sabrina Carpenter (“The Hate U Give”) as his best friend and bandmate Sammy, Madison Iseman (“Annabelle Comes Home,” “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle”) as Zach’s girlfriend Amy, Thomas Everett Scott (“13 Reasons Why,” “La La Land”) and Neve Campbell (“Skyscraper,” “House of Cards”) as his parents, Laura and Rob.

“I fell in love with Zach’s infectious joy and spirit seven years ago when I made a short documentary about his life. Just before he passed, I made a promise to him that I would do whatever I could to make sure the world heard his music,” said Baldoni. “In the age of COVID-19, with the future of the theatre business up in the air, it was extremely important to me to ensure Zach’s message of hope, faith and triumph in the face of adversity truly had the opportunity to touch as many hearts around the world as possible. That’s why I’m so excited to be partnering with Disney+ for my first film under our Wayfarer Studios banner, as it’s the perfect home and platform to bring Zach’s incredible story to the world.”

“Justin has created a poignant and uplifting tribute to Zach, whose story shows us the power of optimism, music, and human connection,” said Ricky Strauss, president, Content & Marketing, Disney+. “As our team searches the world for stories that entertain and inspire, ‘Clouds’ is a fantastic fit for Disney+ and our global audience.”

“Clouds” is a Mad Chance/La Scala Films Production, co-financed by Wayfarer Studios, and produced by Mad Chance’s Andrew Lazar, Justin Baldoni for Wayfarer Studios and Casey La Scala. Steve Sarowitz, Wendy S. Williams and Cate Adams are also executive producers, and Ben Simpson is a co-producer. Endeavor Content and Wayfarer Studios brokered the deal of the film.

Justin Baldoni is represented by WME.

Josh Gad performs new song written by Kristen and Robert Lopez

Josh Gad

Actor Josh Gad returns once more to the kingdom of Arendelle. He reprises his role as Olaf to sing a new song, “I Am With You”, written by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez.

Disney Animation uploaded the new song to their Twitter account. You can listen to Olaf’s new song below.

“I Am With You” reminds both children and adults alike how we are never truly alone. In this video, Olaf finds himself inside an empty Arendelle. He wanders around and eventually goes home to Elsa and Ana’s family castle. He starts writing a letter while singing the new song. You’ll find clips and segments of iconic Disney moments being played back while Josh Gad is singing. Towards the end, we see the magical Gale from Frozen 2 arrive and its windy currents help transport Olaf’s letter.

The message of the song is to have hope and remember we will soon be reunited with our loved ones. The global pandemic has prevented us from seeing some of our family and friends, but things will get better. We will be together again soon and create new happy memories.

Josh Gad has been making efforts to entertain audiences at home during the COVID-19 pandemic. He started reading bedtime stories weeks ago for viewers on social media. He also provided voice work for several Olaf shorts while the Disney Animation team works from home.

#DisneyMagicMoments: Finding Love in the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland Park

by , Public Relations Director, Disneyland Resort

#DisneyMagicMoments: Finding Love in the Haunted Mansion

In honor of last year’s 50th anniversary of the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland park, the Disneyland Resort Line — a magazine published exclusively for Disneyland Resort cast members — featured a variety of commemorative stories in its Aug. 1, 2019 issue. One such story, written by Editorial Manager Lisa Greathouse, shares how two Haunted Mansion cast members fell in “love at first fright” in 1989.

Enjoy this #DisneyCastLife story below!

Senior Stage Manager Dave Atkins will never forget the day in late 1989 when, as part of the opening crew on Splash Mountain, he began cross-training on Haunted Mansion and spotted a new hire who was part of a different training group.

“It was love at first fright,” Dave says with a laugh. Eve, that “new hire” who caught Dave’s eye 30 years ago, rolls her eyes. “That is such a dad joke,” she says.

The couple, who began dating a few months after first meeting, recently celebrated their 26th wedding anniversary and have two sons, ages 16 and 19. “They think it’s pretty cool that their parents met at Haunted Mansion,” says Eve, who left the company in 1994 for a career in Human Resources.

Dave, who works in Disney Photo Imaging, says the couple’s circle of friends include many Cast Members (past and present) they met working in New Orleans and Critter Country during the 1990s. He even recalls sitting in a circle in the mansion’s expanding room with fellow Cast on Halloween night after the park closed, telling ghost stories late into the night.

“Haunted Mansion is still my favorite attraction — and not just because I met this incredible woman there,” Dave says, glancing at Eve. “It’s an attraction that is better than it needed to be, full of so many little details and incredibly rich storytelling. Anyone who has trained on that attraction has stories that build on the lore. There’s always a little bit of mystery.”
