Mickey Sink Strainer Adds A Splash Of Magic To The Kitchen

Mickey Sink Strainer Adds A Splash Of Magic To The Kitchen

As a Disney fan, one of my favorite things to do is find little Disney touches to add around my home. Even little accessories like the newest Mickey Sink Strainer adds a magical detail. We found this cutie at Disney Springs, and can’t wait to add him to the kitchen fun!

This is an update to a classic design from a couple of years ago. Mickey has gotten a “cutesier” style, and is ready to splish-splash in the kitchen sink! This is a pretty heavy-duty strainer too, it is stainless steel, and has a thick rubber base. Mickey is an enamel decoration affixed to the top.

The previous version of this fun kitchen accessory had spoons for the little drain holes. This time, however, the drainage holes are now Mickey shapes! This honestly seems like the obvious choice if you ask me. You can find this extra adorable Disney kitchen accessory at Disney springs for $22.99!

Little accents like the Mickey Sink Strainer are such a fun way to add a touch of Disney magic. Even our sinks can be magical, and vibrant with color!

What do you think of this whimsical new kitchen accessory?

Special thanks to our friend Susan for these adorable pictures!

Construction Sites at Disneyland Paris Resumed Activity Earlier This Week

Disneyland Paris is beginning their gradual reopening process on July 15, and have started working again on construction projects earlier this week! There are many construction sites in the works at Disneyland Paris- Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel, future Land Avengers Campus, Cars Route 66 Road Trip, and Disney Junior Dream Factory.

“I am very pleased to welcome our Cast Members, the Imagineers and the contracting companies to relaunch the construction of new and exciting experiences that will entertain and delight our visitors in the years to come,” said Natacha Rafalski, President of Disneyland Paris.

According to a statement from Disneyland Paris, the health and safety of the construction workers will be the top priority while these construction sites are in progress. “The Imagineering Construction team has implemented reinforced precautionary measures, such as the wearing of a mask and a physical distance device which implement the regulations issued by the Ministry of the Interior, the recommendations health authorities and best practices in the sector.” (Disneyland Paris)

“We are delighted to be gradually taking over these projects and again being able to do what we are passionate about – creating the Disney magic that our visitors love so much,” said David Wilson, Site Executive Portfolio for Walt Disney Imagineering in Paris. “We thank the French authorities for the constructive dialogue we have established with them, as well as our partners and suppliers for their unshakable confidence. These have proven to be resilient and agile, which has allowed us to move forward in recent months on other aspects of these new attractions and experiences.”

While we’re packing our trekking bags to head back into the parks, we’ve been looking at a sneak peek of Animal Kingdom’s new bag check area and temperature screening tents. And, now we have first look inside the park too!

The President of the Walt Disney World Resort Jeff Vahle has released photos of what the health and safety measures look like in Disney’s Animal Kingdom (wow, we missed seeing all that greenery).

…and both Cast Members and guests will be required to keep six feet apart from one another when they’re in Disney World.

Everyone will be asked to wear face masks during their time in the parks to make sure that people are kept healthy and safe when they are in the parks.

On top of this first (early!) look inside Disney’s Animal Kingdom, we’ll be taking you along with us next week as we head back into the parks during Annual Passholder Previews throughout the beginning of this week. And, then we’ll be heading back to Disney World for the start of the grand re-openings. Check back for full coverage of Disney World’s big reopening.

REVIEW! THIS Treat is the Surprising WINNER of All the Fourth of July Treats We’ve Had in Disney World!

We’ve taken with you us all day to the Disney Resorts to find Fourth of July treats all over Disney World!

REVIEW! THIS Treat is the Surprising WINNER of All the Fourth of July Treats We’ve Had in Disney World!

Beach Club

While we’ve stopped by Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, and Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, we’re at our last stop of the day at Disney’s Beach Club Resort!

Although this treat might be last of the day, it’s definitely not least. The Red White and Blueberry Trifle is layered with berry compote, vanilla cake, shortbread crumble, cherry mousse, whipped cream, and sprinkles.

Red White and Blueberry Trifle

We’re gonna be honest here — looks can be deceiving. We did NOT think much of this trifle when we first saw it and almost walked right past it! Disney is a big fan of verrines (AKA trifles) and we frequently see them appearing in their home base of Disney’s Hollywood Studios. While this Beach Club dessert is called a “trifle,” it’s much more similar to a verrine. But, we’re not complaining!

Red White and Blueberry Trifle

The Red White and Blueberry Trifle has a bit of a crunch from the shortbread crumbles, even though the rest of the treat is nice and smooth. Although a lot of the berry, cherry, and whipped cream flavors are sweet, there’s a hint of tartness from some of the lemon juice mixed into the trifle.

If you’re craving a more traditional treat, the Beach Club Resort also has a Fourth of July Cupcake and a Welcome Back Funfetti Cupcake too! However, the Welcome Back Cupcake sold out pretty quickly, so we’ll have to check back to give you a look and review.

Fourth of July Cupcake

While our hearts will belong to the patriotic Peanut Butter Pie that we had today (we just can’t get enough of it), we were surprised to find that the Red White and Blueberry Trifle happened to be our other favorite Fourth of July treat for only $5! It’s one of the least aggressively-sweet treats we tried. The balance of citrus, berry, and sweet flavors were refreshing compared to the other chocolate or sugary buttercream flavors we’ve had all day long. On that festive note, we wish you a Happy Fourth of July however you spend it!

How are you celebrating the Fourth of July today? Let us know in the comments below!
