Florida suspends all consumption of alcohol at bars statewide.

Halsey Beshears, Secretary of Department of Business & Professional Regulation in Florida has just shared this news on his twitter:

The news comes on the heels of Florida reporting nearly 9,000 new COVID-19 cases, which smashes the previous single-day record.

The global health crisis continues to require significant regulation around the United States.

With cases on the rise in Florida, we recently saw a new travel advisory put in place for entering and leaving the state. Now, the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation has announced a statewide ban of on-premises alcohol consumption at bars.

In a tweet this morning, the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation announced the new ban.

Florida smashes single-day record with nearly 9K new COVID-19 cases

Florida has just smashed its single-day record for new coronavirus cases Friday with state health officials reporting nearly 9,000 confirmed cases.

Florida now has confirmed 122,960 coronavirus cases since March 1 and more than 3,300 deaths.

There is no word if Disney World will delay its reopening like Disneyland did earlier this week.

Here are the COVID-19 Figures by county

• Orange County: 7,848 cases, 56 deaths
• Osceola County: 1,485 cases, 24 deaths
• Seminole County: 1,966 cases, 16 deaths
• Volusia County: 1,605 cases, 53 deaths

More great news for Disney Springs! Jock Lindsey’s Hanger Bar reopened to guests on June 25, 2020. The Indiana Jones themed bar is always a fun time for visitors and they feature a fantastic drink menu. Look closely at the menu to find several drink and food items with names inspired by the famed explorer’s exploits in the films. The dockside bar is relaxing with its waterfront view. An aviation-themed lounge, Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar features unique cocktails and small plates at its prime location along Lake Buena Vista. Ardent fans of the “Indiana Jones” films may recognize Jock Lindsey as Indy’s frequent pilot. In the main room, guests can discover an expansive bar, aviation decor filling the room, vintage travel posters covering the walls and correspondence between Jock, Indy and their fellow adventurers on display. Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar is located at The Landing area at Disney Springs.
