Take a Trip Around Walt Disney World Resort at Home with Special Disney+ Watchlists

Want to know what one of my favorite things about Disney+ is? It brings #DisneyMagicMoments right to me, without even having to leave my couch! If you want to welcome a piece of Disney Parks into your home, we’ve curated films and shows into special watchlists inspired by favorite Walt Disney World Resort experiences—and they’re all available to stream now on Disney+.

Following our recent trip around Disneyland park, today let’s take a tour around the four Walt Disney World theme parks to spark our imaginations and take us back to some of our favorite memories from The Most Magical Place on Earth:

Disney Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Men Tell No Tales
Magic Kingdom Park: “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales,” “The Little Mermaid” and “Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings”

Today’s watchlist starts off with Magic Kingdom Park, where you may be thrilled to go on a treasure hunt alongside Captain Jack Sparrow in “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales,” or you may prefer an underwater adventure with your favorite mermaid and sea creatures in “The Little Mermaid.” If you fantasize about dream weddings and honeymoons, you can watch fairytales unfold right from the comfort of your own home with “Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings.”

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Episode IX
Disney’s Hollywood Studios: “Toy Story 4,” “Mickey Mouse” Cartoon Shorts and “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker”

Adventures and excitement await at every turn at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. You can have a virtual theme park experience from home with these thrilling titles. Sing and play along with your favorite toys as Woody, Buzz, and the gang are reunited. If you’re looking for a place where “mouse rules apply” and anything can happen, then the “Mickey Mouse” cartoon shorts are for you. For a more galactic adventure, follow Rey, Finn and Poe as they battle Kylo Ren and the First Order in “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.”

Avatar
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park: “The Lion King,” “Avatar” and “Jane Goodall: The Hope”

For all the animal lovers out there, Disney’s Animal Kingdom is where you may feel most at home. Here we embrace Hakuna Matata and the spirit of animals and nature, with titles like “The Lion King,” “Avatar” and “Jane Goodall: The Hope” from National Geographic.

Disney Pixar Ratatouille
EPCOT: “Ratatouille,” “Frozen 2,” “Mary Poppins Returns”

There’s no better place to end our journey through Walt Disney World Resort than at EPCOT, with its exciting attractions and international pavilions. Whether you want to venture into the kitchen or into the unknown, where you can “let it go” or step in time with your favorite chimney sweeps, there is a title here for you!

Immersing ourselves in some of the great Disney stories on Disney+ helps bring our favorite Disney Parks memories to life. Let’s all continue to make time for magic together and check out even more movies, shows and shorts inspired by Disney Parks on Disney+.

Fantastic New Sorcerer Mickey Tiki Mugs Now Have New Color Variants

It is definitely a very tiki-tastic month. Mondo has definitely been on their Tiki game too! In addition to their newly launched Scrooge McDuck and Sorcerer Mickey Tiki Mugs, they now also have variant colors of the Mickey one! Sorcerer Mickey sold out pretty quick, so we’re excited to have other color choices to welcome him to our tiki loving homes!

Sorcerer Mickey Tiki Mugs

Sorcerer Mickey Tiki Mugs

In addition to the original Sorcerer Mickey style which featured the traditional colors, there are now four variant colors to collect. Each mug retails for $75.00, and is designed by Tom “Thor” Thordarson and sculpted by Istanbul-based Tufan Sezer. They are also made by hand by the sorcerers over at Tiki Farm.

The Alamo variant has a rich brown color which is popular on classic tiki mugs.

The Aether variant is a glorious chrome! I feel like it almost looks like liquid onyx, it is gorgous!

Elemental is boldly blue, and looks like the rising waters of Sorcerer Mickey’s spell gone awry.

Lastly is the Fortune Variant. It is a jade green, just like a lucky jade amulet! I really love the name choice for this color option. All of the mugs are stunning, but I really do believe this is my favorite of the five choices!

You can find these gorgeous Sorcerer Mickey Tiki Mugs now at Mondoshop.com! Which one is your favorite?

Sidewalk Chalk Artist Creates Incredible Disney Inspired Drawings During Pandemic

Sidewalk Chalk Artist Creates Incredible Disney Inspired Drawings During Pandemic. Talented artist Casey Drake Makes from Winter Park, FL has taken to the sidewalks of her home to create incredible sidewalk chalk art for those out for a stroll in her neighborhood and is sharing inspiring and funny messages for Disney fans to enjoy during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Casey is relatively new to sidewalk chalk art, having first started drawing with her kids in April 2020, but it didn’t take long for her new talent to catch national attention during the pandemic. Her drawings have been featured in various newspapers, magazines, blogs, and even on Jimmy Kimmel Live!.

To all of the 2020 graduates, I’m sorry. I’m so sorry you were robbed of senior proms, and grad bashes, and graduations….

6 MORE Random Vintage Disney Theme Park Postcards

Continuing from my recent post, here’s 6 more random vintage Disney theme park postcards.

I like this postcard because it’s a good representation of everything Disneyland has to offer: beloved characters, futuristic transportation, and the greatest show ever to grace planet Earth.

This Haunted Mansion postcard came from a 1975 Walt Disney World postcard book. There’s something about the eerie glow of the ghosts in the picture that I love so much. I feel like you don’t see many pictures like this these days.

I’ve always been fascinated with Animal Kingdom’s Dinosaur. It’s a fun ride but I’m more interested in its history. Like, why did it open as Countdown To Extinction, but then change its name to Dinosaur after a couple of years? Why did Dinosaur get a major theme park attraction when so many other Disney films did not? Besides these questions there are some curiosities about the actual ride itself, like the hundreds of effects in the ride that haven’t been used for years. (Really! Watch Martin’s Ultimate Tribute to see what I’m talking about.) One thing I want to point out on the back of this postcard is the pun “NO ESCAPE CLAWS”

There’s a lot to love about this postcard but my favorite has to be the appearance from Earforce One. That balloon had a mythical status when I was a kid. I would constantly see it in Disney commercials and print advertisements but never in real life. I wonder what ever happened to that thing.

A ride up or down Main Street on the Omnibus is pretty much the greatest thing in the world. Check out the attraction posters advertising other Disneyland attractions (which are are no longer on the Omnibus today). Also, I really enjoy the description on the back of this card: “Camera fans especially like the unique angles the Omnibus’ second deck provides.” So true.

I’ll wrap up this batch of postcards with some gorgeous Tokyo Disneyland concept art by Disney Legend, Herb Ryman. Herb had retired from Imagineering in 1971, but returned several times to create conceptual paintings for various things, and this is one of them.
