Travelers Entering Florida from Connecticut, NJ, or NY must Self-Isolate for 14 days – Extended florida travel

Travelers from Connecticut, New Jersey, and New York who are wanting to visit the state of Florida must self-isolate for 14 days once they arrive in the state. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has extended the self-isolate order for travelers from those states.

This Executive Order does not apply to individuals involved in commercial activity and students traveling for the purpose of academic work, internships, sports training, and any other activity or program approved by the educational institution.

All persons isolating or quarantining will be responsible for all costs associated with their isolation or quarantine. This includes transportation, lodging, food, medical care, and any other expenses to sustain the individual during their period of isolation or quarantine.

Roadside checkpoints are set up on interstates to check for potential COVID-19 cases coming into Florida from areas with substantial community spread of the virus. The checkpoints do not apply to commercial drivers or health workers.

Extended in Executive Order 20-139, travelers entering the state of Florida from Connecticut, New Jersey, or New York must self-isolate for 14 days from their entry into Florida or the duration of their stay, whichever is shorter. Visit https://t.co/E7UM7vX9fk for more. pic.twitter.com/Kw806IOhZo

— Florida Dept. Health (@HealthyFla) June 11, 2020

There is no specific end date for this order so if you are wanting to travel to Florida, make sure you do some homework before planning your travel.

NEWS: Orange County California Is No Longer Requiring Face Coverings

Disneyland’s reopening plan isn’t the only news coming out of California this week!

NEWS: Orange County California Is No Longer Requiring Face Coverings

Disneyland Main Entrance

Orange County, in which Disneyland is located, has revised its policy regarding face masks.

On May 22nd, an order was issued that required everyone to wear a face covering in public when they were unable to maintain distance between others. This was released in conjunction with the Stage 2 reopening of additional businesses in Orange County.

However, as of June 11th, the face covering rule has been relaxed from a requirement to a suggested measure.

Orange County is also preparing to reopen additional businesses outlined in Stage 3 of the state’s reopening plan, beginning tomorrow. These businesses include bars and breweries, gyms and fitness centers, movie theaters, hotels, museums, and campgrounds.

Does your local government have a face mask policy? Let us know in the comments?

California Is Set to Move to Stage 3 of Reopening Tomorrow — Here’s What That Means

Now that Disneyland has submitted its proposed reopening dates and parts of Universal CityWalk in Hollywood have already begun to reopen, Califonia’s phased reopening plan seems to be chuggin’ along.

Stage 3 of Governor Newsom’s plan will go into effect this Friday which will means that more locations and businesses will receive the green light to reopen.

While Newsom’s plan has four stages, most of the state entered stage two in May. California’s reopening has been more gradual than other parts of the country and Newsom says counties still have the option of moving forward slower than the rest of the state if they choose to do so.

Dine-in restaurants, houses of worship, hair salons, and non-essential retail stores were allowed to reopen last month at each counties’ discretion. Once stage 3 begins on Friday, the following locations may resume assuming all health guidelines and necessary safety precautions (limited capacity, social distancing, increased sanitation) are implemented:

  • Schools
  • Day Camps
  • Bars
  • Gyms
  • Campgrounds
  • Professional Sports

For schools and day camps, only counties that are below the threshold of cases will be permitted to reopen (which almost every county meets). The state will provide further guidance (including rules) on how hotels, casinos, museums, zoos, and aquariums can safely operate as well as the filming of television and movie productions and recording of music can resume.

Since California officials have stated Disneyland will be allowed to reopen in stage three, we’re eager to see if the proposed dates are finalized soon.
