An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, senior citizens and guests with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable.

By visiting Walt Disney World Resort, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.

Let’s keep each other healthy and safe.

Earlier today Disney released more information on the opening of Disney Springs including the opening of World of Disney and other Disney owned stores.

From our friends at www.disneyfoodblog.com

On Armed Forces Day, Disney recognized military service members and veterans!

©Disney

Disney shared their support for the nation’s military with a look back at some moments in history!

Disney has a legacy of support for military veterans and service-members. So in honor of Armed Forces Day, they shared memories of previous displays — including a video of some incredible flyovers by the U.S. Navy’s Blue Angels!

You can also watch this heartwarming video saluting our nation’s armed forces.

Both Magic Kingdom and Disneyland also recognize the armed forces daily as part of the flag retreat ceremonies.

Flag Retreat Ceremony

Even though the parks are currently closed, the flags continue to be raised and lowered daily as a symbol of hope and a salute to all those who serve. We appreciate Disney’s continued dedication to recognizing members of the military!

Florida Attractions Like Top Golf and Madame Tussauds Are Opening Back Up — But How Are They Protecting Guests?

From our friends at www.disneyfoodblog.com

There is a LOT of talk surrounding Florida’s theme parks re-opening.

World of Disney in Disney Springs

Although many parks are suspected to open in Phase Two of Florida’s re-opening plan, locations like Universal Orlando’s CityWalk have started phased re-openings. While there is no specific date for many of the major theme parks to welcome guests again, a few Florida attractions just announced they are opening their doors.

These attractions will be following new health and safety guidelines for both guests and employees. These locations will test out new safety protocols that could inform decisions of higher-traffic attractions.

Top Golf

Top Golf Orlando is open currently. When guests arrive, employees will meet them at the front stairs to explain new safety measures, like six-foot social distancing markers and a bay capacity limit of six people. If Top Golf reaches its capacity, guests must wait in their cars or a designated area until a text message is sent to them confirming their bay is ready. The check-in desk will have a safety barrier between guests and employees, and each of the hitting bays have protective dividers and 11 feet of space between them.

Employees will have to participate in a health check before work, wear a mask at all times, wear gloves when then are handling food and beverages, and wash their hands frequently. Guests are not required to wear masks, but they are encouraged to do so.

Guests are also not required to bring their own golf clubs as Top Golf will provide complimentary ones. Top Golf will disinfect clubs, golf balls, game screens, and other high-touch areas between each group. You can find more information about the procedures here!

Madame Tussauds

Currently, the wax hands experience is closed and interactive elements, like photo props, are being limited. However, the rest of the Madame Tussauds Orlando exhibit is open.

What’s This?? You Can Watch Disney’s 2019 Not-So-Spooky Spectacular Fireworks Whenever You Want!

From our friends at www.disneyfoodblog.com

Well, well, well, what have we here? Another bit of Disney World entertainment?? Oooh, we’re really scared!!

Halfway to Halloween Takeover ©Disney

Yesterday marked the Halfway to Halloween point, and we got into the spooky spirit with LOTS of activities. We dressed up in our favorite costumes, sang along to “Grim Grinning Ghosts” with the Dapper Dans, got a first look at the new Haunted Mansion collection coming soon, and even added NEW mostly ghostly backgrounds on our home screens!

While we also gave you hot and cold running chills with the news of the Disney’s 2019 Not-So-Spooky Spectacular stream, you can still watch it on repeat HERE!

And, we recommend mixing up some terrifying treats to go along with it (especially those Jack Skellington cookies to honor our Bone Daddy host)!
