SeaWorld Orlando Reservations Only Available For Select Days of the Week

Orlando theme parks are working through the reopening process, and things are a little different!

©SeaWorld

SeaWorld is set to reopen one month ahead of Disney on June 11th. Today, a new reservation system launched to help SeaWorld Orlando to limit capacity in all of their theme parks, but the process might have told us something else. It appears that reservations are only available for select days of the week. So, by the looks of it, SeaWorld may remain closed select days of the week for the time being. Take a look!

When selecting our date for our reservations, we noticed that many of the calendar dates were blocked out or marked as “Closed.” SeaWorld park, for instance, is not currently accepting reservations for Tuesdays or Thursdays after the initial reopening date.

As for Aquatica, the park is marked as “Closed” on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Discovery Cove has the fewest days open each week after the initial opening. The reservation system is only accepting reservations for dates Friday through Monday. As of now, these limited days are reflected from the June reopening through the end of 2020.

This is the first we’ve noticed any sign of SeaWorld only opening select days of the week so we’ll be sure to keep an eye out for what this means! Keep up with DFB for more Orlando theme park coverage!

News: Disney Cruise Line Cancels ALL Disney Magic Sailings Through Early October

It seems like every few weeks we hear that Disney Cruise Line is canceling more sailings.

©Disney Magic

The most recent set of cancellations suspended all sailings through the end of July and Alaskan sailings through mid-September. Now, Disney has announced another round of cancellations suspending Disney Magic Sailings through early October. Let’s look at the affected bookings!

The Disney Cruise Line website references the cancellation of all Disney Magic departures through October 2nd. The Disney Magic makes up all European departures, effectively suspending European cruises through the fall.

The new sailings that are impacted include the following:

  • August 5-13
  • August 13-20
  • August 20-30
  • August 30- September 6

Those being affected by the sailings are being offered “the choice of a cruise credit to be used for a future sailing or a full refund.” If you are affected by a canceled sailing, you should receive an email from Disney Cruise Line with the next steps. If you booked through a travel agent, they will contact your agent. No action is needed on your part at this time.

NEWS and PHOTOS: Check Out What’s Parked Once Again in Disney Springs!

In our trip to Disney Springs today, our eyes were greeted with a familiar sight.

Food Trucks in Disney Springs

The Disney Food Trucks are parked once more at their home base of Exposition Park on the West Side of Disney Springs!

As a reminder, Exposition Park is located right near the West Side Starbucks. The Food Trucks do see some makeovers from time to time, and the current line-up includes Cookie Dough and Everything Sweet

…and Mac & Cheese.

We also spotted the very latest addition to the Disney Food Trucks — Hot Diggity Dogs!

Now, as of today, the Food Trucks are simply parked in the West Side — they aren’t serving guests at the moment. Though (as you can tell ? ), we did get to take a peek at the menus.

Oh man, could we go for some Lobster and Shrimp Mac & Cheese right about now!

In speaking with a member of Guest Relations we learned that the trucks don’t have a reopening date just yet, as they still need to be cleaned and restocked.

But they are indeed a bright and cheerful sight, as always! And, in case you’d like to read up on what the Disney Food Trucks have in store when they do reopen, you can visit any of the links below! Where will YOU be stopping first?

News! Disney World’s Swan and Dolphin Resort Will Remain Closed Through July 29th

With the exception of DVC members, Disney World has stopped accepting new reservations for its hotels while it gets ready to unveil a brand new reservation system.

Mickey Pretzel

But over the weekend, we discovered there was still a way to book a room at Disney World! That no longer seems to be the case.

As of this weekend, Disney’s Swan and Dolphin Resort was accepting new hotel reservations beginning July 1st. The hotels are located on Disney World’s property but are actually managed by Marriott and rooms could be booked through their third-party website.

Disney’s Swan and Dolphin Resorts

As of right now, Disney has shared that “To enter a park, both a park reservation and valid admission for the same park on the same date is required.” And we have already confirmed with Disney that guests staying at Disney-partnered hotels such as Disney’s Swan and Dolphin Resort and Shades of Green will be considered Disney World guests.

Disney’s Swan and Dolphin Resort

Granted, Disney has shared that “a Disney Resort hotel reservation does not guarantee theme park access,”  but the fact that you could still book a room at Disney World seemed like a promising first step towards getting back into the parks.

However, while you could make reservations just yesterday, the Disney Swan and Dolphin Resort website now states that both resorts will remain closed through July 29th, 2020. This is well after the Disney World theme parks begin their phased reopening on July 11th.

We tried checking for any available rooms prior to July 29th on the Marriott website today and as expected, there are currently no rooms available for those dates.

When searching for rooms after July 29th, Disney’s Swan and Dolphin Resort had available rooms which could still be booked using the third-party website. We’ll continue to follow this developing story!
