NEWS: This Spot Is MISSING in Disney Springs Today!

We’ve been going to Disney Springs every day to bring all the news you need to know (and to get a Froscato, of course).

Disney Springs

While there have been plenty of restaurants and stores re-opening around the shopping and dining district, we couldn’t help but notice that one place had disappeared today!

Although Joffrey’s Coffee is open for guests to grab some Face Coffee, the Joffrey’s Handcrafted Smoothies kiosk on the West Side is gone!

Joffrey’s Handcrafted Smoothies Area

Instead of the kiosk, there are a bunch of plants and shrubs in the area instead.

Where Did Joffrey’s Go??

While the Marketplace kiosk is still open…

Joffrey’s Handcrafted Smoothies

…we’re not sure if the West Side Joffrey’s Handcrafted Smoothies will be returning or if this is just a temporary move!

Missing Joffrey’s Handcrafted Smoothies

Cast Members weren’t sure if the location would be coming back or not, so we’ll keep you updated on whether Joffrey’s Handcrafted Smoothies’ disappearance is temporary or permanent!

We’ve got all the details on how you can drink your Joffrey’s Coffee with a face mask here!

What’s your favorite Joffrey’s drink? Let us know in the comments below!

Is It Happy Hour?? A Bunch of Disney Springs Bars Have Reopened Today!

We spotted several bars at Disney Springs that have now reopened!

Disney Springs

Looking for a place to grab a drink in Disney Springs? Well then, we have great news! Now that most of the state of Florida has entered Phase Two of Governor Ron DeSantis’s Safe. Smart. Step-by-Step. Plan for Florida’s Recovery, bars have been given the green light to reopen.

And on our walk-through of Disney Springs, we noticed that a handful of locations have now reopened their bar seating. So, where can you go to snag a spot at the bar?

The Front Porch Bar at House of Blues

Well, let’s start with The Front Porch Bar at House of Blues! While the restaurant and retail store had already reopened earlier this week, the patio and outdoor bar are now welcoming back guests as well.

The Front Porch Bar at House of Blues

The patio is also offering live music performances and happy hour specials!

House of Blues Happy Hour Specials

Guests are asked to maintain social distancing of at least six feet, and contactless payments and menus are available.

Check out the newly reopened House of Blues!

Wine Bar George

Bar seating has also resumed at one of our favorite Disney Springs restaurants, Wine Bar George! For now, bar seating is very limited and is only available downstairs.

Wine Bar George Bar Seating

Wine Bar George has implemented a number of new health and safety measures upon reopening.

Have you seen these loaded fries from The Basket at Wine Bar George??

The Boathouse

The indoor bar at The Boathouse is reopened, but guests are asked not to move the barstools from their current locations.

The Boathouse Indoor Bar

The outside bar at The Boathouse is still closed for now!

We visited The Boathouse when it reopened, check out our experience!

Paradiso 37

We noticed a similar situation at Paradiso 37 — the indoor bar is now reopened, but the outdoor bar is still currently closed.

Pairs of barstools were spaced apart in order to encourage social distancing.

Paradiso 37 recently updated its operating hours!

STK Orlando

Bar seating is also now available at STK Orlando.

STK Orlando

They will be keeping an empty bar seat between each party in order to allow for distancing.

Check out our review of the reopened STK Orlando!

The Polite Pig

And The Polite Pig has reopened both the outdoor and indoor bars. Here’s a peek at the outdoor seating…

The Polite Pig Outdoor Bar

…and here’s a look at the reopened indoor bar seating!

The Polite Pig Indoor Bar

We spotted a private barrel bourbon flight on the menu here, so the bar seating could be a great place to give it a try!

Check out our review of the NEW menu items at The Polite Pig!

So, if you’re looking for a place at Disney Springs to grab a quick drink, these newly reopened bars should give you several options to consider!

Looking for something sweet? Amorette’s Patisserie is now reopened in Disney Springs!

NEWS! The NBA APPROVES Plan to Resume Season at Walt Disney World!

We’ve been waiting to hear official confirmation that the NBA will likely be finishing the season at Disney World.

ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex

Yesterday, we found out more about the potential dates and arrangements for the NBA at Disney and what teams would likely be joining the league at the Orlando resort. The plan was pending approval until it was just announced that the National Basketball Players Association has approved the 22-team format for the NBA to finish the season.

According to ESPN, the NBA and the NBPA have officially decided on and approved the plan to finish the season in Walt Disney World. The coming weeks will have the two organizations working out some details as they move towards a July 31st resumption of the season.

NBA Experience

The NBPA does note that “Various details remain to be negotiated and the acceptance of the scenario would still require that all parties reach agreement on all issues relevant to resuming play.” Starting dates for next season will be discussed in the coming weeks as well.

NEWS: Amorette’s Patisserie in Disney World Just Raised Their Alcohol Prices

Just moments ago we reported that Amorette’s Patisserie had officially reopened in Disney Springs!

Amorette’s

And while they only have a limited menu right now (they hope to be fully operational by Sunday), we noticed they’ve made few price increases on some of their alcoholic beverages!

When we stopped by Amorette’s Patisserie earlier today, we snapped this pic of their menu and we compared some of their items to their pre-closure prices, we noticed a few discrepancies!

Amorette’s Menu

While Taittinger by the bottle still costs $80 (this place is fancy FANCY!) the champagne served by the glass is now $18 instead of $17. Amorette’s other bubbly, Iron Horse Fairy Tale Celebration, is still $38 by the bottle but has gone up to $18 from $15 by the glass.

Wine Slushy Machines at Amorette’s Patisserie

Banfi Rosa Regale Sparkling Red is still $31 by the bottle, but now costs $16 by the glass instead of its former $13. Nino Franco Rustico Prosecco is also still $28 by the bottle but $12 by the glass — a dollar extra. Lastly, their Wilson Creek Almond Sparkling Wine has gone up from $39 to $45 by the bottle and from $9 to $11 by the glass.

Amorette’s Patisserie

Those are all the items Amorette’s Patisserie has raised its prices on so far — we’ll be sure to let you know if we spot any more increases!

One of our favorite Disney Springs just reopened! Find out which one here!

Union leaders say Disney World to bring back thousands of workers in next few weeks

Union

A union leader recently announced that Walt Disney World Resort will be bringing back thousands of furloughed Cast Members. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Disney may have to reshuffle its employees to replace the positions formerly filled by Disney College Program interns. Eric Clinton, the Union Leader of 362, spoke about this update.

Eric Clinton provided an update on what the future of Disney theme parks might be like for both guests and Cast Members once they reopen. First, he expects roughly 8,000 Disney employees to return to work in the next few weeks. Starting in June, the Walt Disney Company will recall full-time attractions and custodian workers.

However, Mr. Clinton doesn’t expect all attractions to be available when the theme parks reopen. According to the union, Disney doesn’t plan to bring back seasonal employees for a while given the circumstances. Instead of cultural representatives, World Showcase will feature domestic workers filling in for duties at Epcot when the park reopens in July.

Furthermore, the Disney union leader even thinks that live entertainment shows, such as Beauty and the Beast Live at Hollywood Studios, might not return right away to Disney World. The need to practice social distancing will require shifts in available entertainment. The full list of what attractions will reopens is still unknown at this point in time. Clinton went on to say the following:

“Disney has not shared those details with us. What we do know is there’s going to be a massive need for attractions workers across property. There’s going to be a lot of work that needs to be done.”
