What’s New in Disney Springs: Merch That’s Flying Off Shelves and the Reopening of SO. MANY. BARS!

Disney Springs is getting back into the groove after its initial reopening on May 20th.

World of Disney Queue

Yes, with the reopening of World of Disney and more restaurants, there are TONS of new merchandise items, food, and drinks. Oh, and the crowds are coming BACK, so let’s dive right on in!

Disney Springs Crowd Update

We’ve seen some hustle and bustle while in Disney Springs today!

World of Disney Virtual Queue Sign

We’ve seen the shopping and dining district pretty empty recently, but World of Disney needed to use a Virtual Queue since it was a bit more hoppin’ than usual!

Disney Springs Merchandise Update

World of Disney

We don’t know about you guys, but we think that the new Pain and Panic Socks at World of Disney are insanely cool! The magenta and blue socks feature Hades’ sidekicks from Hercules with little fuzzy “ears” and a WHOLE lot of detail.

And, if you want another iconic duo to add to your wardrobe, you can look as cute as a plush toy wearing the Ducky and Bunny Socks! These socks are totally just as fun as the wonderfully wacky tag-team from Toy Story 4.

Just when you thought you had enough Loungefly bags, two new backpacks arrived on the shelves of World of Disney. Well, they can barely stay on the shelves, since they’re THAT popular! The Mickey Balloon Loungefly Backpack keeps selling out (but it will be restocked soon) because it’s so cute…

House of Blues Happy Hour Specials

Note that the bars in Disney Springs are following distancing measures! House of Blues’ outdoor and indoor bars are open with seating and a happy hour special on Fridays and Saturdays.

The Basket at Wine Bar George

While we thought that the Color Block Corkcicle might be gone for good after it sold out at Wine Bar George’s The Basket, we were SUPER happy to see that it was back in stock!

New Corkcicle Procedure

So, now you can drink all the Froscato your heart desires! (We’ll never get over how good that Dole Whip slush is, you guys!)

Take a look at how the Corkcicle refills have changed at The Basket!

Joffrey’s Handcrafted Smoothies

While things come and go in Disney World, we were so surprised to find that Joffrey’s Handcrafted Smoothies had disappeared from the West Side of Disney Springs!

Joffrey’s Handcrafted Smoothies Area

Right now, there are a bunch of shrubs where the kiosk used to be. We aren’t sure if the West Side location will be reopening again, but you can still visit Joffrey’s Handcrafted Smoothies at the Marketplace.

Check out all the details on the missing Joffrey’s Handcrafted Smoothie kiosk here!

Well, that’s all for this What’s New at Disney Springs! We’ll catch you next time for more merchandise, crowd, and food updates!

Is It Happy Hour?? A Bunch of Disney Springs Bars Have Reopened Today!

We spotted several bars at Disney Springs that have now reopened!

Disney Springs

Looking for a place to grab a drink in Disney Springs? Well then, we have great news! Now that most of the state of Florida has entered Phase Two of Governor Ron DeSantis’s Safe. Smart. Step-by-Step. Plan for Florida’s Recovery, bars have been given the green light to reopen.

And on our walk-through of Disney Springs, we noticed that a handful of locations have now reopened their bar seating. So, where can you go to snag a spot at the bar?

The Front Porch Bar at House of Blues

Well, let’s start with The Front Porch Bar at House of Blues! While the restaurant and retail store had already reopened earlier this week, the patio and outdoor bar are now welcoming back guests as well.

The Front Porch Bar at House of Blues

The patio is also offering live music performances and happy hour specials!

House of Blues Happy Hour Specials

Guests are asked to maintain social distancing of at least six feet, and contactless payments and menus are available.

Check out the newly reopened House of Blues!

Wine Bar George

Bar seating has also resumed at one of our favorite Disney Springs restaurants, Wine Bar George! For now, bar seating is very limited and is only available downstairs.

Wine Bar George Bar Seating

Wine Bar George has implemented a number of new health and safety measures upon reopening.

Have you seen these loaded fries from The Basket at Wine Bar George??

The Boathouse

The indoor bar at The Boathouse is reopened, but guests are asked not to move the barstools from their current locations.

The Boathouse Indoor Bar

The outside bar at The Boathouse is still closed for now!

We visited The Boathouse when it reopened, check out our experience!

Paradiso 37

We noticed a similar situation at Paradiso 37 — the indoor bar is now reopened, but the outdoor bar is still currently closed.

Paradiso 37 Indoor Bar

Pairs of barstools were spaced apart in order to encourage social distancing.

Paradiso 37 recently updated its operating hours!

STK Orlando

Bar seating is also now available at STK Orlando.

STK Orlando

They will be keeping an empty bar seat between each party in order to allow for distancing.

Check out our review of the reopened STK Orlando!

The Polite Pig

And The Polite Pig has reopened both the outdoor and indoor bars. Here’s a peek at the outdoor seating…

The Polite Pig Outdoor Bar

…and here’s a look at the reopened indoor bar seating!

The Polite Pig Indoor Bar

We spotted a private barrel bourbon flight on the menu here, so the bar seating could be a great place to give it a try!

So, if you’re looking for a place at Disney Springs to grab a quick drink, these newly reopened bars should give you several options to consider!

Looking for something sweet? Amorette’s Patisserie is now reopened in Disney Springs!

Duck Duck Razz from The Boathouse in Disney Springs

Duck Duck Razz

Ahoy! Disney Springs celebrated its first phase of reopening to the public last week, so The Boathouse is now open once more. The Boathouse is well-known for its waterfront views, seafood, oyster bar, and cocktails. One of their iconic cocktail drinks is the Duck Duck Razz, which is equally beautiful and delicious. It even comes with a rubber duck to take home, too! Today, we’ll teach you how to make the Duck Duck Razz drink at home.

Duck Duck Razz

Duck Duck Razz – Drink Recipe

  • 2 parts Raspberry vodka
  • 2 parts peach schnapps
  • 1 part blue curacao
  • Lemon juice
  • Simple syrup

Of course, you have the option to add a cute rubber duck as a garnish to the drink!

The Boathouse has opened its reservation book and all reservations will be guaranteed indoor seating. Reservations are limited since they’re seating the indoor dining restaurant at 25% capacity. However, they do encourage walk-in parties in the event guests don’t have a reservation. Those who walk-in will be offered outdoor seating on the patio. Of course, seating space is limited.

Besides dining, guests at Disney Springs can also visit the Boathouse Boatique and ride the Amphicars. They are complying with CDC guidelines in regards to table spacing. All guests visiting will be asked to follow sanitation guidelines at Disney Springs.

Let us know your favorite memories of The Boathouse if you’ve been there in the past. Also, consider ordering a Duck Duck Razz while enjoying the waterfront view!
