Check Out this Disney World Emporium Lego Ideas

Here at Chip and co we love creative Lego ideas and we are especially loving this Disney World Emporium LEGO ideas! Here developer André Blix has created the “greatest emporium located in the happiest place on earth!”, creating the famous Emporium shop at the Magic Kingdom, Walt Disney World.

Disney World Emporium Lego ideas

André Blix’s Disney World Emporium features a two-story modular building functioning as a store on the first floor, and then a showcase on the second floor! The Disney World Emporium Lego ideas were made out of 2558 lego bricks. The designer mentioned that he hopes one day to complete the entire “Main Street USA” with shops, scenery and ride tributes (we love a good easter egg!).

According to the description, the two floors contain:

1st Floor store:

  • 2 x Product shelves
  • Check out area
  • Mickey Mouse wall decoration
  • Gift shop display
  • Entrance to adjacent modular building

2nd Floor attraction:

  • “Pirates of the Caribbean” boat ride (not affiliated with the movie franchise)
  • Scenery and figures complimenting ride
  • Fun

We adore the attention to detail from the developer, including Mary Poppins and of course, the large Mickey Mouse behind the till! We really hope he continues developing to complete “Main Street USA!”

Disney Springs Is BUSTLING Today, and World of Disney is BACK On A Virtual Queue

Some days are busier than others at the recently reopened Disney Springs, and today Walt Disney World’s shopping district is on the heavier side with crowds!

World of Disney line on June 7

As a part of new health and safety measures, stores are limiting capacity. And on a day like today when Disney Springs is quite busy, that means lines.

When we were strolling around Disney Springs this afternoon, we noticed that World of Disney had implemented its virtual queue!

World of Disney Virtual Queue sign

To help keep the line orderly, there were social distancing markers on the ground, with cast members enforcing the spacing.

The line was lengthy when we first got to it, and World of Disney has been turning the virtual queue on and off all afternoon.

Disney Springs certainly is busy today, but with World of Disney selling everything from new character socks to Baby Yoda plushes and more ADORABLE merch, we definitely understand why.

Heading to Disney Springs soon? Here’s EVERYTHING you need to know about the reopened shopping center!

Have you been to Disney Springs since it reopened? Let us know your experience in the comments!

Don’t Expect to See NBA Players at Disney World Theme Parks!

With plans to finish the NBA season at Walt Disney World, it has been announced that guests will not be able to see NBA players at Disney World theme parks this year! Whilst there has been confirmed news that 22 professional NBA teams will be convening at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, with games due to begin on the 31st of July, ending by October 12th.

NBA Players at Disney World

With this in mind, many guests will be hoping to see NBA players at Disney World theme parks over the next couple of months. However, due to the current situation, (COVID-19), sources have confirmed that players will not be “roaming the parks and getting on rides”. This rule will also extend to their families as well.

Check out the tweet from Adrian Wojnarowski below:

Further to this, news has just been released that NBA players will be housed in three specific resorts on the Walt Disney World site. Click here to read more about this.

There’s Still a Way to Book a Room on Disney World Property Right Now!

Disney World has just dropped SO much resort news, our heads are still spinning a bit.

Beach Club Resort

On top of new dining stipulations at the resorts and the virtual chat option on My Disney Experience for guests, stays at the hotels are about to see some huge changes when they re-open. But if you don’t currently have a hotel reservation, Disney World Resort currently isn’t accepting new ones.

At this time, Disney World is focusing on guests who already have reservations and has temporarily halted new bookings. These guests will be given priority access to the new theme park reservation system, and we filled you in on the fact that Disney’s Swan and Dolphin and Shades of Green Resorts would be included in that set group.

Disney’s Swan and Dolphin Resort

Even though Disney will not be allowing guests to make new reservations at its hotels during this time, we did find a way you can still stay on property! Since the Swan and Dolphin Resorts are Sheraton hotels and partners with Disney, you can still book those resorts through Marriott’s website!

The Swan and Dolphin’s website currently list their closure as lasting through July 5th, but it IS possible to book a stay starting on July 1st. And both the Swan and Dolphin Resorts show booking windows throughout Disney World’s theme parks re-opening on July 11th and July 15th.

Availability may change depending on which room you choose to stay in at the resorts. Right now, there are multiple levels of rooms listed for booking.

If you book a room at either the Swan or Dolphin Resort, you can copy the confirmation number and link into the hotel reservation section on My Disney Experience.

For those that don’t have an existing hotel reservation, and want to book at Disney World for when the parks re-open, booking through the Marriott directly will still give you access to the perks of on-site guests, including first access to the new theme park reservation system. However, keep in mind that availability could always change and staying on property does NOT guarantee theme park admission. As Disney starts to roll out more information about resort reservations and the parks, we’ll continue to keep you updated!

Here’s all the information you need to know about Disney World’s re-opening procedures!

Do you have plans to visit Disney World when the parks re-open? Let us know in the comments below!

Work continues on Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs Coaster

Wandering Oaken

There’s signs of new Disney magic being built at Hong Kong Disneyland. Even though the theme park is still temporarily closed, the work continues on the upcoming Frozen themed roller coaster attraction, Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs.

The attraction is inspired by Wandering Oaken’s Trading Post and Sauna shown in the 2013 Frozen movie. The ride is scheduled to debut in 2021 at Hong Kong Disneyland. The Twitter account, HKDL of Fantasy, provided photos of the current progress on the attraction’s construction.

For those who visit Magic Kingdom, the Hong Kong ride will be similar in comparison to the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. The concept artwork for Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs show us additional insight on what to expect when attraction is complete. So far, seeing the tracks being installed does offer excitement for Disney fans. But we are eager to see more of the construction progress to learn what else is in store for future riders!

Are any of our fans exciting about the upcoming roller coaster attraction? Will you be planning a trip to Hong Kong Disneyland in the future so you could ride Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs? We will post updates when additional information becomes available.
