New Baby Yoda Mission Arrives at Smugglers Run Attractions

A new mission featuring Grogu and The Mandalorian is launching at Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run attractions in both Hollywood Studios and Disneyland. Starting May 22, 2026, guests can now control the ship with enhanced gameplay options including a special mode dedicated to Baby Yoda. The engineer positions have been significantly expanded with new responsibilities that include caring for Grogu during the mission. Three new flight destinations beyond Tatooine have been added, offering choices like Bespin and Coruscant for more varied experiences. Gunners can now activate a secret Grogu Mode by pressing specific buttons simultaneously before the ride begins. This mode replaces standard narration with Baby Yoda sounds and displays a live feed of the character in the cockpit. The updated experience aims to provide deeper engagement while maintaining accessibility for guests of all ages and skill levels.

Hollywood Studios Reimagined Lot Soft Opens Ahead of Official May 26 Debut Date

Construction barriers have been removed at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, revealing the newly reimagined Walt Disney Studios Lot ahead of its official opening on May 26, 2026. The area replaces the former Animation Courtyard and features a central courtyard with mature trees providing much-needed shade for guests. A prominent Sorcerer Mickey Hat now tops the entrance to the new Animation Building, which will officially open in late summer. Character handprints and footprints from beloved figures like Hercules, Mufasa, Moana, and Stitch decorate the exterior of this building. The space has already received positive feedback from visitors who previously found the area lacking in appeal. Inside, guests can explore interactive galleries featuring Disney Animation characters and experience new Audio-Animatronics figures. A new Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live show has also quietly debuted with scheduled performances throughout the day. This transformation represents a significant improvement over the previous space, offering a more pleasant environment for families and visitors alike.

Cool Kids Summer Brings Bluey and Toy Story Events to Disney World

Disney World is launching Cool Kids Summer on May 26th, featuring exciting new activities for children. Two major attractions include Bluey’s Wild World at Animal Kingdom and Jessie’s Roundup at Magic Kingdom. Bluey’s Wild World allows kids to play games with Bluey and Bingo while experiencing Jumping Junction with Australian animals. Visitors can join the virtual queue starting at 7 AM or 10 AM through the My Disney Experience app. Jessie’s Roundup transforms the Diamond Horseshoe into a craft and dance party with Toy Story characters. The event runs through September 8th, offering air-conditioned entertainment for families. Both experiences provide unique opportunities for children to interact with beloved characters in themed environments.

Disneyland Resort is introducing a complimentary activity book titled Mickey Park Rangers as part of its Summer 2026 family experiences. This interactive guide encourages guests to explore key attractions including the Rivers of America, Tom Sawyer Island, and the Disneyland Railroad. The booklet features illustrated maps and puzzles themed around park ranger adventures, with characters like Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Pluto depicted as official rangers. Visitors can solve word puzzles, complete challenges, and collect unique stamps throughout their journey to earn a Master Ranger Badge sticker. Activities span various park areas, including spelunking puzzles on Tom Sawyer Island, navigation games along the Rivers of America, and train-themed challenges near the Mark Twain Riverboat. The guide also incorporates educational elements such as botany lessons, pirate lore decoding, and paleontology activities featuring dinosaurs. Starting May 22, 2026, families can obtain these free booklets at select retail locations on the west side of Disneyland Park for a limited time.
