After more than twenty years, the Diamond Horseshoe at Magic Kingdom will finally host a full-scale stage production. Titled Jessie’s Roundup, this new western revue is set to debut as part of the Cool Kids Summer celebration in 2026. Starting May 26, 2026, guests can join Jessie, Woody, and their Toy Story pals for an interactive experience described as a mix of a western revue and family play-along. The experience will allow kids and families to dance along with Toy Story characters to country-inspired tunes and yodel their hearts out. This fun family event provides a much-needed air-conditioned retreat for families during the peak Florida summer heat and is scheduled to run through September 8, 2026.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios is preparing for the official opening of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets on May 26. A private courtyard concert celebrated the event with The Electric Mayhem band, various Muppet characters, and celebrity guests including John Stamos. The celebration featured performances of classic rock songs, fireworks, and even some comedic interruptions from Joe the Legal Weasel. This revamped attraction replaces the previous Aerosmith theme with new queue scenes, celebrity cameos, and a soundtrack built around The Electric Mayhem’s rock style. The ride experience includes a VIP tour with the band and a super-powered L.I.M.O. transportation sequence. For Muppet fans, this retheme offers a chaotic and entertaining experience at the theme park.
Disney has officially unveiled significant updates to the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run attraction at both Hollywood Studios and Disneyland Park. The biggest change is the addition of three new missions featuring characters from The Mandalorian series, including Grogu and Din Djarin. These adventures will take guests to locations like Tatooine, where they must capture pirates and imperial officers while stealing crates. The role of the engineer has been expanded to include more interactive elements, allowing them to communicate with Grogu via a new camera feature. Engineers can now also select which destination the Millennium Falcon will visit during the mission. Potential destinations include Bespin, Endor, and the newly announced city-planet Coruscant.
