Millennium Falcon Attraction Gets Major Update With Mandalorian Mission

Disney is set to launch a significant update to the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run attraction, introducing a new mission featuring Din Djarin and Grogu. This overhaul, scheduled for May 22, 2026, at Disneyland and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, aims to address long-standing criticisms regarding the ride’s replayability and storytelling depth. The new mission expands the storyline from the original coaxium heist to a bounty hunting adventure, incorporating branching destinations and more dynamic gameplay elements. Engineers now play a more crucial role, influencing mission direction and interacting directly with Grogu, while pilots and gunners face updated challenges. Despite these improvements, some critics argue that the older Star Tours attraction still delivers a more thrilling simulator experience. The update represents a meaningful step forward, adding humor, unpredictability, and reasons for guests to return multiple times. However, the core ride system remains unchanged, leaving some fans hoping for a complete overhaul that combines the immersive environment of the Falcon with the intense motion of Star Tours.

Walt Disney World Experiences Pleasant Late Spring with Low Crowds and Short Wait Times

Late spring at Walt Disney World has been remarkably pleasant for visitors, featuring low crowd levels and predictable wait times across all parks. The data shows that Touring Plans predictions were highly accurate this week, being within one or two crowd levels 89% of the time. Animal Kingdom experienced the most attraction downtime during the week, with some days losing up to 12% of capacity due to unexpected closures. Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios maintained low crowd levels throughout the period, making them ideal destinations for families seeking shorter waits. As summer approaches, preview events and holiday weekends are expected to bring slightly higher attendance starting next week. Weather patterns have shifted toward regular afternoon thunderstorms, requiring guests to plan outdoor activities for the morning hours. Despite these minor changes, the overall experience remains enjoyable with average posted wait times staying under 30 minutes at most parks.

Hidden Muppet Easter Eggs in Rock n Roller Coaster Revealed

Disney has packed the Rock n Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets with numerous hidden references and Easter eggs for observant guests. The attraction features a gallery case curated by Yolanda the rat containing a replica of Kermit’s original Rainbow Connection banjo. Various props from MuppetVision 3D have been recycled and repurposed throughout the queue, including the Great Gonzo banner and Statler and Waldorf’s theater seats. The alleyway displays Fozzie’s bowtie and a PizzeRizzo apron hanging from the laundry line. Several citations in the parking garage reference significant dates like Kermit’s TV debut on May 9 1955. The attraction also includes nods to classic Muppet moments such as Bean Bunny running away and the Swedish Chef being fired upon by penguins. Hidden details like the address of Walt Disney Imagineering headquarters and Jim Henson’s birth year on the Squeakeasy sign add layers of meaning. Even the Interpol car from Muppets Most Wanted appears as a test subject in the Muppet Labs Automotive Division. These clever references celebrate the rich history of The Muppets while enhancing the immersive experience of the ride.
