Travelers heading to Disney World should consider airline baggage handling records when booking flights. A U.S. Department of Transportation survey analyzed mishandled bags across 15 airlines on nonstop domestic routes. American Airlines ranked worst with 71 mishandled bags per 100, followed closely by United Airlines at 70 per 100. Several regional carriers like Envoy Air and Endeavor Air also showed high mishandling rates of 69 per 100 bags. In contrast, Allegiant Air led the rankings with only nine mishandled bags per 100 flights. Southwest Airlines performed well in fourth place from Orlando with 38 mishandled bags per 100. JetBlue Airways ranked second best among carriers serving Orlando at 31 mishandled bags per 100. This data helps travelers choose airlines more likely to keep their luggage safe during Disney trips.
