Animation Courtyard Transforms Into Walt Disney Studios Area at Hollywood Studios Park

The Animation Courtyard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios has officially closed its doors in September 2025 to make way for a new attraction called The Walt Disney Studios. Construction crews have been working diligently over the past several months, with walls coming down and being relocated by late April. The new space draws inspiration from the historic animation studios located in Burbank, California. Visitors can now explore a courtyard featuring character details like Cinderella’s blue birds and Diablo the raven from Sleeping Beauty. The area includes green spaces, seating areas, and a pergola surrounded by lush vegetation. Street signs mark locations such as Dopey Drive and Mickey Avenue, while Pluto’s Corner features a painted cement design with a fire hydrant. Billboards for upcoming attractions like Zootopia 2 and Dumbo adorn the facade near Stage 1 entrance. A large mural showcases beloved characters from numerous Disney films including Frozen, Moana, and Aladdin. The Magic of Disney Animation building will soon open as an attraction entrance once construction completes fully.

SEEKING: A daring soul to share a spooky adventure with. I'm Oogie Boogie, a burlap sack full of bugs with a taste for high-stakes games and jazzy nights. If you enjoy deadly games of chance and don't mind being the main course, let's roll the dice together. No Jack Skellington types, please—this is a private party.

I also enjoy Halloween, and long walks in the graveyard.
