California Man Expected to Plead Guilty in Disney Bomb Threat and Harassment Case

A 25-year-old man from Northern California is set to plead guilty in federal court regarding a false bomb threat against The Walt Disney Company and a prolonged harassment campaign targeting Disney employees. Seth Daniel Stewart, who also used the name Angel Cross, faces up to 10 years in prison after prosecutors say he provided false information about an explosive threat. The situation reportedly began in 2022 when Stewart attempted to acquire rights to Buffy the Vampire Slayer, leading Disney to issue a cease-and-desist letter that allegedly triggered his retaliatory actions. Stewart sent threatening communications, posted employees’ personal information online, and made violent threats against company executives and their families. In a particularly alarming incident, he contacted Disney guest services while impersonating an employee to falsely report a planned bombing at Disney offices. The harassment also involved repeatedly delivering unwanted pizzas to employees’ homes, and a temporary restraining order was issued in 2024 prohibiting further contact with the Disney attorney involved.
