The ride will officially close on July 5th and remain closed until reopening in 2027. During this period, guests have one last opportunity to experience the longest-running stage show in American theater history before its transformation. The updated version will feature new scenes starting from the 1960s through a possible future, including an opening scene with a Walt Disney animatronic. Each subsequent scene will depict different decades with corresponding cultural elements like the moon landing in the 1960s and single-use appliances in the 1990s.
