The update will refresh music, fashion, technology, and experiences to keep the show relevant for contemporary audiences. Act 1 will shift its timeline from the 1950s to the 1960s, featuring a family watching the moon landing on television in 1969. Subsequent acts will explore life in 1985 with Halloween trick-or-treating, New Year’s Eve 1999 with early internet usage, and a futuristic scene involving space travel and robotics. Walt Disney will provide a special introduction at the start of the updated show. The attraction is expected to reopen sometime in 2027 after these comprehensive changes are completed.
