Disney World is currently undergoing significant construction to develop Pueblo Esperanza, a new Tropical Americas-themed land at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. This expansion will replace the former DinoLand U.S.A. area and features three major attractions including Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent, Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto ride, and El Carrusel de los Animalitos carousel. Recent aerial photography reveals detailed construction progress showing the temple structure being sculpted and painted for the Indiana Jones attraction while steel frames are being erected for other rides. The new land will also include a large quick-service restaurant that Disney has described as one of its biggest dining locations. Construction on the Encanto-themed ride shows a steel frame in front of the Casita with rock work being added to the backdrop. The carousel construction includes a circular structure with plans for a fountain in the center area to mark the village location.
