Disney Advances Abu Dhabi Resort Plans Amid Regional Uncertainty

Disney continues its commitment to developing a new theme park resort in Abu Dhabi, which will serve as the company’s seventh global destination. The project is being executed through a strategic partnership with Miral, an Abu Dhabi-based developer that will handle financing, construction, and operations while Disney provides creative assets and design guidance. Despite ongoing conflicts and economic volatility in the Middle East, Disney executives maintain confidence in the long-term viability of the resort. The company acknowledges that regional instability and fluctuating fuel costs may impact near-term travel but emphasizes a focus on decades-long operational success. Currently, the Disneyland Abu Dhabi project remains in early development stages with no official opening date announced yet.
