Disney and Macy’s have announced a new giant character balloon featuring Sorcerer’s Apprentice Mickey for the upcoming 100th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. This historic event marks a century of holiday tradition, with Mickey Mouse debuting as the first Disney character balloon in 1934. The announcement was revealed at Downtown Disney District during D23 Day at Disneyland Resort. To commemorate this milestone, Macy’s is releasing an exclusive merchandise capsule collection inspired by the new balloon and classic parade moments. The initial collection launches on August 13 with limited-edition fashion, accessories, and collectibles from popular brands. A broader assortment of over 100 unique products will be available later this autumn.
