Disney Building New Tropical Americas Land at Animal Kingdom

Disney is actively constructing a new Tropical Americas-themed land called Pueblo Esperanza at Animal Kingdom, with construction already well underway. The park recently filed a new permit revealing plans for an expanded playground area that will replace the former Goofy and Pluto meet-and-greet locations in DinoLand USA. This playground will feature slides, climbing areas, and various play spaces themed around South American characters from franchises like Encanto and Indiana Jones. Landscape Structures Inc., the company responsible for refurbishing The Boneyard at DinoLand, has been contracted to build this new structure. While specific themes for different sections of the playground remain unannounced, it will provide an energetic play space for families with young children and adults who enjoy playful environments. Construction activities include framing, drywall installation, roofing work, concrete pouring, and foundation development as part of the general building process. The entire Pueblo Esperanza land is scheduled to open at Animal Kingdom in 2027, promising a fresh South American adventure destination for guests.
