Disney Experiences has made a significant financial contribution of one hundred thousand dollars to the mayoral campaign of former U.S. Representative Stephanie Murphy in Orange County. This donation represents the largest political contribution from Disney to a local candidate and comes as the 2026 mayoral race is expected to be among the most expensive in county history. Murphy, a Democrat who previously represented Florida’s seventh congressional district, has now raised over one point one million dollars with support from various high-profile donors including Michael Bloomberg. The campaign emphasizes affordability and livability for Orange County residents while Disney continues to show interest in local leadership given the area’s importance to tourism and home to Walt Disney World Resort. Other candidates in the race have also raised substantial funds, with Democratic Commissioner Mayra Uribe leading at over eight hundred thousand dollars raised so far. The primary election is scheduled for August eighteen with a potential runoff in November if no candidate secures more than fifty percent of the vote.
