Walt Disney Imagineering has revealed several hidden Easter eggs and clever design tricks in the recently updated Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure at EPCOT. The attraction transitioned from 3D to 2D, eliminating the need for 3D glasses and transforming the former glasses area into a ventilation grate with animated rat silhouettes. Imagineers spilled actual pasta to study its natural fall before recreating a giant spilled box of linguini that conceals the projection screen seam. The pasta box features the fictional brand name “Glendali,” referencing Glendale, California, while the label incorporates 1401 from Imagineering’s Los Angeles address. Additional details include restaurant tickets referencing the “Sweetbread Special,” a rat trap modeled after Chef Skinner’s animation, and a new bumper bar hiding audio equipment beneath the dining cart.
