Disney Lakeshore Lodge Becomes All-DVC Resort in New Filing

A recently submitted legal document reveals that Disney Lakeshore Lodge will likely operate as an entirely Disney Vacation Club property when it opens in 2027. The filing lists 45,552 timeshare weeks for the project, which translates to approximately 876 vacation villas. This represents a significant shift from earlier expectations that the resort would function as a mixed-use property with both traditional hotel rooms and DVC accommodations. Industry watchers note that this development would make Lakeshore Lodge one of Walt Disney World’s most exclusive destinations for members. The documents also designate the property as a Restricted Management Entity, meaning resale contracts will carry booking restrictions similar to those at Riviera Resort and other select properties. Owners purchasing points on the resale market will face limitations on where they can use their points throughout the Disney Vacation Club system.
