Disney Unveils New Tropical Americas Land at Animal Kingdom for 2027 Opening

Disney has officially revealed Pueblo Esperanza, a new 11-acre land set to open at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in 2027. This immersive area will replace DinoLand U.S.A. and celebrate the biodiversity and cultures of the Tropical Americas region. The expansion features two major attractions: an Encanto-themed ride-through experience where guests enter the magical Casita, and a brand-new Indiana Jones adventure set within a Maya temple. Physical models currently on display showcase these exciting new experiences along with other village elements like a large hacienda restaurant and town square. Imagineers drew inspiration from research trips across Central and South America to create this authentic Spanish-colonial style environment. The land promises guests unique opportunities to interact with beloved characters while exploring rich cultural settings. This significant addition marks Disney’s continued commitment to expanding its theme park offerings with culturally immersive experiences.
