The updated policy addresses how various rain intensities and severe weather events will impact entertainment offerings during the special event. Light rain typically allows parades to proceed as scheduled, while heavy rain may result in a modified cavalcade featuring characters in covered vehicles or ponchos. Severe weather including lightning within ten miles of Magic Kingdom can cause parade delays or cancellations, though fireworks shows generally continue unless high winds or lightning create safety concerns. Outdoor stage productions like Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular may be shortened or canceled if wet conditions become dangerous for performers and guests. The event tickets remain non-refundable and non-transferable under normal circumstances, but Disney offers rain checks in cases of significant entertainment cancellations after the party begins. Guests are encouraged to prepare by purchasing ponchos before arrival, bringing extra footwear, and monitoring real-time updates through the My Disney Experience app for show delays and weather alerts.
