Disney World Crowds Increase as Summer Vacation Season Peaks for Families

After experiencing lighter crowds throughout much of the summer, Disney World parks are seeing a noticeable increase in visitors as families begin their vacations. Wait times across multiple attractions have risen significantly compared to earlier weeks, with some rides reaching over an hour in line. Hollywood Studios has seen particularly high attendance, with Slinky Dog Dash wait times climbing to 130 minutes at peak periods. Epcot and Animal Kingdom are also experiencing higher traffic, though not as dramatically as other parks. The surge appears linked to school schedules prompting families to plan trips during this time of year. While some attractions remain relatively short in queue, popular rides continue to draw large crowds throughout the day. Park officials have noted that these patterns suggest a shift in visitor behavior for the remainder of the summer season.
