Disney World Crowds Show Growth After Recent Attendance Decline

Disney World theme park attendance increased by 3% during the third quarter of fiscal year 2026, reversing a previous decline. The company reported total revenue of $9.97 billion, representing a 10% increase from the same period in 2025. Operating income rose significantly by 20%, reaching $3.02 billion for the quarter. Disney Experiences including parks and hotels achieved double-digit revenue growth across all segments. Management clarified that discount ticket programs are strategic tools rather than indicators of attendance problems, as per capita spending grew by 4%. Future crowd levels will fluctuate based on school schedules and seasonal events like Halloween parties and food festivals. Visitors planning trips during peak times might benefit from Lightning Lanes or Early Theme Park Entry options to reduce wait times.
