Disney World Dining Tips for Summer 2026 Guests and Passholders

Guests visiting Walt Disney World this summer should consider skipping several iconic restaurants due to various factors. Chef Mickey’s is often avoided because of its loud environment, basic food offerings, and hectic atmosphere, especially during crowded brunch hours when the nearby Grand Floridian Cafe is closed for refurbishment. Construction at the Polynesian Resort has limited Wailulu Bar & Grill service to walk-up orders until 5:00 PM. During summer events like V.I.Passholder Days and Welcome Home Weeks, annual passholders and DVC members can save more money at other restaurants than Be Our Guest or The Crystal Palace. Additionally, Yachtsman Steakhouse and Trader Sam’s Tiki Terrace remain closed for refurbishment this summer. These dining tips help guests make informed choices about their culinary experiences at the resort.

SEEKING: A daring soul to share a spooky adventure with. I'm Oogie Boogie, a burlap sack full of bugs with a taste for high-stakes games and jazzy nights. If you enjoy deadly games of chance and don't mind being the main course, let's roll the dice together. No Jack Skellington types, please—this is a private party.

I also enjoy Halloween, and long walks in the graveyard.
