The author visited EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios to sample various snacks and desserts across the parks. At Sunshine Seasons in EPCOT, a Mickey-shaped strawberry lemonade macaron was tried, featuring tart lemon icing with smooth royal icing texture and fresh strawberry jam filling that created a balanced sweet and tart flavor profile without being overly sugary. The yellow drizzle on the macaron shell stained fingers noticeably but did not significantly impact the eating experience. At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Rosie’s All-American Café offered a plant-based dog that was smaller than traditional hot dogs with dense, chunky texture and earthy flavor enhanced by mild spice and tomato-heavy toppings including relish and BBQ aioli. The accompanying house-made chips were very salty but lacked distinct flavors beyond their saltiness. Also from Rosie’s was the Red Velvet Riveter dessert, which featured cream cheese frosting, chocolate ganache center with lava-like texture, and a relatively dry cake structure that became messy when cut due to melting frosting in warm conditions. Finally at Epic Eats in Hollywood Studios, a Pride Funnel Cake topped with fruity pebbles cereal, ube frosting drizzle, powdered sugar and vanilla soft serve was sampled. The generous toppings created a sweet cereal milk flavor profile where the soft serve melted quickly and the cereal lost its crunch rapidly after being served.
