Disney World Ride Closures and How to Handle Them on Your Trip

Ride closures are a common occurrence at Disney World, happening due to weather, technical issues, or other unforeseen circumstances. For example, on a recent day, 17 different rides experienced temporary closures, some shutting down multiple times. Visitors should always have a backup plan and maintain a list of alternative attractions they want to experience. Monitoring the My Disney Experience app is recommended to track when closed rides reopen. Guests who booked a Lightning Lane for a closed ride automatically receive a complimentary Select Experiences Lightning Lane for another attraction. Additionally, those who purchased a Single Pass for a closed ride can use it later if the ride reopens or receive an automatic refund if it does not. The text provides extensive wait time data across Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and Hollywood Studios for July 30th.
